What's the board's thoughts on Modern Family

It’s definitely going downhill. Although, last nights episode was funnier than most in recent memory.

IMHO The Goldberg's blows it away.

First 3 seasons were great. After that, they had 2-3 episodes every year that would remind how good it could be, but they were sandwiched around a bunch of meh. Last couple seasons before this one were awful. They whiffed horribly with the child actors - the two that play Manny and Luke make already unlikable characters some of the worst in the history of tv.

The episode where the kids walk in on Phil and Claire having morning sex is hands down the best of the series.

Unfortunately this happens with most long-running shows, especially comedies.

The OG Clyde Bidgsby and Juliana episode is absolute gold.

No almost about it. It's been that way for a couple of years. They've lost all nuance (especially the kids) and are now stock cliches shouting lines and making faces.

One of the best sitcoms ever its first few seasons and gone downhill.

The child actors got exponentially worse with age, which really sucks the fun out of the show.

Claire is so hot.

It was great the first 3 or so years, has been pretty meh since then. The kids growing up ruined it, and should have been dropped.

I feel the same. I don't remember the last time my DVR was set to record it. I stopped watching when I realized that I couldn't remember any episodes from the season. They all just ran together as monotonous semi-entertainment.
