I have been trying to think of the first movie I saw in the theater and I cant remember. I know I saw Toy Story, but I was 9 at the time and I had to have seen one before that.

What was the 1st movie you saw? Age? Was it good or bad? Did you get it on with someone?

Superman The Movie, barely remember it but for sitting on my Dad's lap. It might not have been the first movie my parents dragged me to as a toddler but it's the first movie I can remember being there in the theater and watching.

Mary Poppins.

Possibly The Absent Minded Professor or The Shaggy Dog if I saw them in re-release.

I do distinctly remember going to see Fellowship of the ring though. Even remember the theater, which is now a parking lot and a taco bell

I think it was Empire Strikes Back, 1980, at a drive in theater.

As posted in the other thread, Willow or Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Since Willow came out a month earlier, I'll go with that. I was 7, and I remember getting so mad I almost cried and wanted to leave when all of the good guys were turned to pigs...my mom fortunately talked me into staying to see what happened

Earliest I remember is Empire Strikes back. We were living in Dubai at the time, and we'd come back to the states during the summer to visit family.

We didn't get much American pop culture in Dubai, so being able to see an American movie in an American theatre was a treat, even for a 4 year old.

It was ‘“Porky’s’” in 1981 and I was five years old. My paternal grandpa was babysitting me that day and took me to the movies just to do something. He just picked a movie and gave me popcorn, candy, and a pepsi. He fell asleep whilst I tried to figure out wtf I was seeing.

1989 Batman. My parents took me and my sister, still get goose bumps at the end with the music playing and him standing on the building with the Bat Signal above him.

Ghostbusters 2. Had a blast. I remember Bobby Brown in it, statute if liberty controlled by NES pad, a painting, and bill Murray telling a mom that her baby is ugly.

I remember being around 5, and my parents taking me to the movies, and seeing The Sting. That's the first I remember. My dad used to tell me we went to see King Kong on a Airforce base. I don't remember going to it. He said I didn't like King Kong's teeth. lol

I saw Pete's Dragon and Star Wars around the same time. Not sure which one was first, or really not even sure if I even saw them around the same time. They were my first 2 movies at the theater though. I was 4 or 5. I fell asleep during both.
