What Star Wars Trilogy storyline would pull you back in?

I’m talking about in the “main” storyline, after the terrible sequel trilogy. So not like KOTOR, which will hopefully be fantastic.
For this hypothetical let’s pretend that theres 0% they retro the sequel trilogy. Is there any storyline that could right the ship?
For example, the Yuuzhan Vong invading the galaxy.

Storyline is much less important than who's running the show. The latest trilogy had a decent enough storyline with Episode 7 plus the original cast.

Honestly, a trilogy that revolves around the Night sisters returning to Power and creating a Warrior that's so insanely powerful it takes a Jedi and A Sith to team up (each with different motives) to take him and the New Night Sister Order down. If you absolutely have to have someone in there from previous movies, let it be an old Rey and the two force users her two kids who hates each other.

I know he was mentioned at the end of last season. I haven't watched past the first episode of Season 3. Was he mentioned again this season?

Also, Kennedy seems to just hire the hot new director and not give two shits about the story. So each director just does whatever they want.
