What movies do you wish were made as a series?

I feel like streaming shows for the past 10 or so years has diminished my enjoyment of watching movies.
There's something about being accustomed to watching 10 hours of plot and character development that makes a 2 hour movie feel super rushed and less satisfying than if it were a series.
I would have liked to have seen movies like Back to the Future, The Truman Show, or The Matrix as a series.
I guess a common concept in these is that there is a different world or a different time that can be more fully explored through a series to enrich the overall storytelling and enjoyment.

No no and no
My answer is movies that have been based on book series. The Dark Tower comes to mind.

Gonna kind of cheat but I would’ve loved a series of Max Cherry bail bonds from Jackie Brown with the late Robert Forster

World War Z has to be a top 3 answer.

Napoleon would have been much better as a series.

Master and Commander is always the correct answer.

Some lives are just too big for a movie. Alexander is another one.

It was pretty good but even that was quite truncated.
Master and Commander as a series, I would binge and lose my job.

My answer until a few years ago was always "Good Omens". The first season was fine, but didn't do the book justice. Haven't seen S2 (which is not based on the book), but have heard that it is trash.
"A Canticle for Liebowitz" is set up perfectly for three seasons. They wouldn't cost too much to make either.
"Swan Song" would be an two or three season series, but I think that it would be pricey.
Obviously I like post-nuclear war stuff, but Canticle/Swan Song would absolutely be legit.

The 13th Warrior... Would be expensive
Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins... There's a lot of material to work with
Alien Nation...They made a network show but it was just a regular cop drama it needs a cable adaptation.

Shooter...Yes there is a series but had they used the Vietnam Era timeline from the books, I think it could be so much greater.

After what happened to Wheel of time, nothing is the right answer.

For the sake of the premise let’s pretend casting decisions are from circa 2000, before the lunatics made accurate casting impossible

I’d like to see Brandon Sanderson’s Mistborn books series brought to life.

Master and Commander (of course)
The Man from U.N.C.L.E. (Ritchey version)
Wish the Universal mister universe had continued.

Heck, I'd settle for a sequel at this point.
