While Disney is imploding, I was thinking about all the great movies they made. With so many great Disney movies, what is your favorite one if you could only pick one?

For me
Update: Now that I know Toy Story was made by Pixar, Lion King it is

For me it’s the OG Lion King, easily. It’s one of my favorites and still holds up to this day. It’s great.

As a kid I thought The World's Greatest Athlete was the bomb. Also loved Song of the South, the Aristocats, and Herbie the Love Bug.

The early Pixar stuff before Disney fricked it up was pretty solid: Toy Story, The Incredibles, Wall-E, Monsters Inc. Last gasp of good Pixar was probably Coco.

FWIW I don't think the greatness of their old material, the Pixar stuff, or even the Marvel stuff up through Endgame resembles the current Disney company.

The problem seems to be the current management not only isn't able to create great material - but are destructively jealous of the people who were responsible (at Pixar, Marvel, and Lucasfilm). Normally functional companies don't have these problems.

As a kid when it came out, I just assumed it was Disney not paying attention to production.

you’re so fricking lame.

Onward was very good. Luca was good. Toy Story 4 was good. Turning Red was good.
