Marching down to Kings Landing and fricking up the Riverlands and the Erie in the process.

Dany has Drogon eat Cersei at the dragon pit meeting at the end of season 7. Then he and Rhaegal burn whoever attacks. Hound and the Mountain are both there, so we can still get Clegane Bowl. Dany has her fleet and full strength of Dothraki and Unsullied already stationed right outside Kings Landing. She takes the Iron Throne at the end of season 7. Then the entire focus of season 8 can be the ultimate battle vs the Night King and White Walkers. Then the Night King can kill Dany instead of having such huge villain and only having killed one main character (Theon) over the entire series.

As already established by Jaqen H'ghar in season 6 when he wore Arya's face right in front of her, they don't have to take the faces to wear them.

I thought Drogon was going to drop in by Jon there at the end. That would have been pretty awesome.
They set it up perfectly with Bran saying "i'll see if i can find him." Or whatever he said. He could have said that and then Drogon drop by Jon and it let you know that Drogon wasknow going to be with Jon. He didnt kill him in the throne room, so I thought it would have been cool for Jon be the one that rides him now.

Dany accuses Jon of being a traitor when he objects to her sentencing Sansa and Arya to death
he rushes her sword in hand kills greyworm and the guards
she smiles as he approaches apologizing ,they are right next to one anotherm no room to spare she tells him yoiu think your a King with Dragons blood ? and yells Dracarys as Dragon lights em up
she burns
he lives
everyone kneels
Bran shrugs his shoulders get up out of the chair and walks offscreen
he rushes her sword in hand kills greyworm and the guards
she smiles as he approaches apologizing ,they are right next to one anotherm no room to spare she tells him yoiu think your a King with Dragons blood ? and yells Dracarys as Dragon lights em up
she burns
he lives
everyone kneels
Bran shrugs his shoulders get up out of the chair and walks offscreen

My ending I posted several weeks ago:
Take out the NK
Combined forces march on Kings landing and defeat Cersei (dany showing signs of being crazy) then the people praise Jon and want Jon as king and she snaps starts to go mad queen and Jon kills her but gets mortally wounded in the process and dies fulfilling the Azor Ahai (killing evil and his true love) The rest are left to pick up the pieces Tyrion and Sansa wed uniting the north and the south and take the throne (s) to rule together. Show ends with them receiving word that yara and the new prince from dorne have joined together to start a rebellion. The wheel isn’t broken nothing has changed. Bittersweet ending to keep with theme.

Going waaaaay back...
Rob wins in the field killing Tywin.
Rob is killed and forces decimated in a siege of KL. Stark girls escape with little finger during siege. Little finger is later found out and killed by Cersei.
Cersei grows more powerful as regent while jeoffery/Tommen make the people hate them with stupid rule. Has to battle some houses, allies others.
Things play out north of the wall as written.
Boltons take WF in light of Rob’s defeat, backed by Lannister promises. Stark boys head north. TER/Bran story plays out. Rickon gives his life to save Bran. Cat is killed by crazy Ramsay who in turn is killed by his father.
Jon takes back WF. Boltons are eliminated.
Dany arrives. Wipes Baratheons off map. Eliminates some houses, allies with others (take your pick).
Jon meets Dany and mines for dragon glass. Meanwhile she absolutely destroys Lannisters and their allies and takes KL.
Dany and Jon unite to take on NK. Greyjoys brought into fold for use of ships. Jon rides dragon after true identity revealed. Dany killed in epic battle north of the wall. Jon kills NK south of wall when all seems lost.
John rules Westeros brings Targaryen house and dragons back to glory. Marries Asha Greyjoy or Margaery Tyrell. Bran is warden of Norf until he dies. Sansa marries Theon and produces an heir to WF. Arya marries son of Tormund uniting the continent into one people north to south as Was Jon’s vision.
Varys, Dorne, Vale, and Highgarten play minor roles but are mostly irrelevant as they ended up anyway.

Well if I'm doing an alternate ending I'd start from the beginning of the final season.
Dany/Jon arrive at Winterfell
Sansa is hesitant towards Dany, Dany tells her she will be the Queen of the North when she takes Iron throne.
Bran and Sam tell Jon about his parents. Jon tells to keep it a secret until he decides what to do about it.
Winterfell is preparing for the Night King
Jamie arrives, tells Dany about Cersei's plans.
Golden Company (w/ elephants) is attacked and defeated by Daario and the Second Sons, who are on their way to Westeros to help their Queen
Army of the dead approaching WInterfell's gates
Battle starts
Jamie, Brienne protect Bran at tree. Sansa is protected by Theon
Jon and Dany on dragons, Arya and Hound protecting women and children and Tyrion. Greyworm, Jorah on front lines
Notable Deaths: Brienne, Theon, Greyworm, Jorah
Winterfell wins battle but everyone realizes the Night King is nowhere to be found.
Cut to Kings Landing as Cersei is being informed her Golden Company has been defeated before even arriving, she hears a dragon's roar. She looks out the window to see the Night King riding Viserion. He lands Viserion in the red keep, killing people and turning them into his soldiers
Night King kills Cersei and takes over Kings Landing
Jon and Dany gather their remaining men and women and start marching/flying towards KL
Sansa, Bran stay in Winterfell
Daario , Yara join Dany at Dragonstone
All of Cersei's army have been turned
Battle for Westeros
- Daario dies after saving Jon Snow
- Jamie is killed by Cersei
- Clegane Bowl happens
- Arya kills blue-eyed Cersei
- Dany sacrifices herself and Drogon to kill Night King/Viserion
Deaths: Dario, Jamie, Mountain, Cersei(again), Dany, Dragon, NK, Viserion
Dany dies never knowing she wasn't the true heir to the throne. She dies a hero
Iron Throne: Aegon Targaryen w/ Rhaegal
Arya, Sam, Tyrion, Gendry all named Lords
Queen of North: Sansa
Bran stays in Winterfell and remains an inconsequential character as he's been pretty much all series
