When Vader says "I've been waiting for you, Obi Wahn. We meet again at last," the audience had only a vague idea of what he was talking about, based on what he tells Luke back home.
I can just ignore the prequels and make up my own backstory. This is how I know that no shitty sequel, prequel or sub-movie could ever "ruin Star Wars." I think the people who say that do so because that's how they want you to feel.

IV: The Death Star run sequence
V: Luke vs. Vader in Cloud City (so hard to pick just one but this is arguably the best sequence in all of Star Wars)
VI: Luke/Vader/Emperor sequence
I: Dual of the Fates
II: Jedi Force attacking Geonsis (II really lacks any great individual scenes...)
III: Anakin and the Emperor at the Opera, best scene in the entire prequel trilogy IMO.
Disney shite: Who cares.

The opening scene in TFA is garbage. Kylo Ren is supposed to be this bad arse character. But Poe basically makes fun of him and Kylo has his arrested instead of killing him. He had no qualms about killing the old man. Why would he not kill Poe? There is no reason to hold him. It was just a bad scene.

I thought that was the best scene in Rise of Skywalker. It had soul and upon Ben's redemption, Han calling back to that line... I got a little verklempt.
