Feel like I just watched a teletubbies episode on the importance of telling the truth and cleaning up your messes.

It has some cheap laughs just for how ridiculous everything is, but this was by far the weakest story yet. Seems like Marvel just got a bunch of stars in a recording booth and just let them riff.

And then the ending just comes out of nowhere. I assume with all the cliffhangers a lot of these episodes are ending on, there will have to be some pay off down the line, right?

Yeah I thought it was about to kick into a crazy finale and it just stopped. :-/

I hope they all circle back together to form a greater whole but I wouldn't be surprised if they don't.

I wonder if the fact that it seems to have surprised The Watcher was important. I think this is the first time in this series we've seen events from another corner of the Multiverse impact one of the versions of Earth we were watching. All of the other episodes were self contained in their own realities. That situation at the end came from someplace else.

Edited to remove spoilery name.

That's the season finale.

The next episode is What If Thanos was on the Chitauri mothership?

I'm shocked they got Natalie Portman to voice Jane Foster given her history of being a snobbish bitch.

Given that they have her playing The Mighty Thor in Love and Thunder I doubt it was that difficult.

ETA: Seth Green did an interview that said they recorded all the voice tracks for this before Endgame came out. She recorded voice lines for Endgame, I wonder if they did all of the voice work at the same time.

Yet they couldn't get Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Rene Russo, Scarlet Johannson, Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, William Hurt or Brie Larson to voice their roles? I can understand not having Liv Tyler voicing Betty Ross.

Downvote away but this is the lamest series the MCU has put out. Maybe tied with Falcon and the Winter Soldier for the lowest interest I've ever had watching the MCU.

This episode was lame. Dr. Strange episode might as well be Gone With The Wind compared to the 6 others

The Thor vs Captain Marvel fight was nice but too short.

That is not an unreasonable opinion at all.

I love, love, loved the What If comic and the entire concept of alternate realities (Elseworlds for DC) but this series has been disappointing.

I believe part of the problem is that many What If story concepts don't translate well to a quick 30 min episode. One issue of a comic can contain much more story than they can flesh out in 30 minutes apparently because one shot What If stories were rarely an issue.

I stopped after the second episode. Is it worth picking back up? Will there be any canon from this needed for future movies/shows?

Some are better than others - it depends on you, really.

I'd say the Doctor Strange episode and the Killmonger episode are the two best. The Avengers dying one is good (if for nothing else than the mystery), and I personally kind of liked parts of the Captain America one. Zombies has decent moments; sadly I probably liked T'Challa as Starlord the least, which was doubly disappointing knowing it was Chadwick Boseman's last performance. He deserved better.

Star Lord T'Challa will return...

According to reddit, in the next episode, when Tony Stark rides the nuke to the Chitauri Mothership, not only is Thanos on board, but the portal closes before Tony can get through and the shockwave rockets him to Sakaar, where he gets involved with the Grandmaster. Gamora becomes the mad titan to avenge her father.

The series has mostly been too corny and rushed, like you can tell its Disney-fied for kids even if people die but the Killmonger and Strange eps. were on the higher end and mostly good.

It never ceases to amaze me how Marvel can ruin great dramatic moments in most of their shows and movies by throwing in lame jokes but they keep at it.

How are they even still in business failing to cater to you.

1) She is in Thor: Love and Thunder and I sure this was connected to that.

2) Don't you speak ill of that hot little Jew.

I didn't hate this episode. It's so weird seeing Loki as an actual frost giant.

Ultron combined with Vision would be badass. I'm wondering if they will go back into that story, or was that their way of saying "yea this universe is officially screwed"

Supposedly in the season finale, that Ultron actually threatens the multiverse, forcing the Watcher to gather his own team of heroes from the series.

Just sat down to watch this one.

I didn't mind it; I definitely got the impression that they decided to go way more light-hearted after the last few.

On a side note, there was a "What If...?" actual storyline many, many years ago. It was called "Timequake" and explored the Watcher discovering someone tampering with alternate timelines. So there is a bit of precedence of What If stories being more than just encapsulated in single issues.

I liked this episode. Far better than last week's episode for sure. Thought it worked well.

I do wish they would tell self-contained stories with a clear ending though, instead of leaving us hanging. I really wanted the zombies episode to keep going.
