In the movie, the president has hands. You know who else has hands? Trump. Checkmate libs.

The poliboard does not send their best.

Thank for proving my point, you people are obsessed with turning literally everything political which is why we have some here bitching that it isn’t political and people like you projecting their own idiocy into the movie

Perfect analogy because that prez had black hands, just like Obama, oh wait

His hands were old withered and had shakes like Biden, oh wait

I think his hands had deep southern roots like Bush and Clinton, nah doesnt 'sound' right either

So in the end, even his 'hands' could only be Trumps

You can pretend all you want, but they even went after Fla for some odd reason. Making them be the odd man out, and wanting to kill the journalist because Fla isnt really part of America. Which former prez represents Fla? Oh thats right, Trump again

I googled Obama red tie so it came up instantly. That's from his first inauguration so it's not exactly a hidden occasion.

Also wearing a red tie at a famous moment

There wasnt much hiding the politics.
Yeah, again, it became pretty clear when Jesse Plemons' character, who was on the same side as the president, started killing all of the non-whites.

But it's definitely not political.

Maybe you should have read the wrtiers comments before getting out on that limb by yourself
quote:

Garland was also asked about the vagueness of the war’s politics in his film. Civil War. One of the president’s first actions was to disband the FBI, which seems like a nod to Trump, who has called to “defund” the Bureau. And it can't be a coincidence that one scene is set at a Western Forces military base in Charlottesville, Virginia, site of a notorious 2017 white supremacist rally. The city's name itself now bristles with political division.

“I personally think questions are answered,” Garland said. “There is a fascist president who smashed the Constitution and attacked [American] citizens. And that is a very clear, answered statement. So I think answers are there but you have to step to it and not expect to be spoon fed these things. It makes assumptions about the audience.

“The warnings [about the country falling apart] all out there, but for some reason they don’t get any traction,” he added.

Plus this
quote:

"It's an intensely political film," he explained, but one that doesn't spell things out, with him providing "dots that can be brought together" and connected according to individual political opinions. "This [fictional] president is a fascist," he noted, adding that he didn't know how many more dots anyone needed to go on.

He called you leftists idiots, and perhaps he didnt spoon feed you enough

I just searched Bill Clinton. Of 32 images only 4 were in red ties

And Trump. 25 of 32 were in red ties

The president was the leader of the other faction, basically. Plemons was in that faction.

blueboy has already referred to the Asian journalists Plemmons' character's group shot as "darkies", in an attempt at making a stupid point, so we can probably ignore his comments on this film.

But, based on nothing. He's making an assumption and ignoring the unhinged state of the Plemmons and his crew. It's hard to imagine a military superior told his crew to stop every vehicle that passes, kill everyone without questioning them, and dump them into a mass grave.

Yeah, and the big pit full of non-white dead people at their compound.

You're a retard.

Just the non-whites, and yes they did question them. Stay butthurt about 'darkies' though.

Maybe if it wasn't always the same left wing shills arguing in these threads, your bullshite would be more plausible.

What am I shilling in service of?

You're arguing that an evil, fascist leader is a clear representation of Trump, and that the murdering psychopath was obviously meant to be a Trump follower. If you see Trump, and yourself, in these characters, I guess you would know better than I. But but for people that think fascist ruler and murdering psychopath look like fascist ruler and murdering psychopath, those characters looked an awful lot like a fascist ruler and a murdering psycopath.

That's not the issue here, even remotely. And you know it. It's how the Hollywood writers and directors (and vast majority of actors) will see it though. And that's the point.

Because many have gone on record stating exactly this, time and time again.

Yet 'some' here pretend they didn't, or try to underplay it all as trivially unimportant to the greater Entertainment process.
