Fantastic movie... cept the ending could have been different...
Dean Jaggers performance was awesome. But so was Gregory Peck's... Dean was also General Waverly in Bing Crosby's - "White Christmas"

Not a movie, but Band of Brothers may be the best thing ever put on film.

The thin red line came out the same time as saving private Ryan and is superior in every way. Terrance Mallick directed it and it’s awesome.
Hamburger Hill is a good book and movie.

Patton
The longest day (simply because of the Bill Millin bagpipe scene)
Saving Ptv Ryan
My dad took me and my brother to see A Bridge too far in the theater when I was 8. He thought the realistic depiction of war injuries would sour us on playing army with our friends. It didn't work.
Two others that aren't traditional are Empire of the Sun and Zulu.
Not historically accurate in any way, but the Final Countdown was pretty sweet.

A Bridge Too Far may have one of the best casts in the history of film.
