I was going to say the Dan Clowes trilogy of films (Ghost World, Art School Confidential, Wilson), but I see now that Ghost World and Art School Confidential are now on Pluto TV.

A movie folks were talking about a few weeks ago-- El Cid with Charlton Heston. Couldn't find it anywhere, for free or rent.

You mean the movies that are on their own streaming service (which is reasonably priced) ? Many of which are also on HBOMax and Kanopy (which is free)?

Monsieur Vincent (1947), a French bio of St Vincent de Paul, won a foreign language film Oscar. I cannot find it w/English subtitles

Same w/ 20 Juli (1955), a German film about the Valkyrie plot. This was controversial in Germany at the time as it treats the conspirators sympathetically instead of as "traitors".
