WW S3 Trailer

I know the majority disliked season 2 but I am pumped for season 3. This season looks pretty wild and with all the kickback from season 2, I would imagine this season wouldn't be off the rails confusing.

This has to be the best specialFX of any show out there, TV or movies. The futuristic stuff looks unreal good.

Maeve in the Nazi Germany era should be legit

I think Parts of Season 2 I am Fine without but the MIB storyline was still pretty awesome.

I am going to have to re-watch the first 2 seasons to get my head wrapped around this series again.

I couldn't get in to Season 2 after the first few episodes. Should I go back and give it a second chance?

I would. I watched it a second time and enjoyed it more the second go around. There are a number of episodes that are on par or better than season 1.

Most people seem to have done what you did bc they got so crazy with it.

Shogun World episode is amazing. "Kiksuya" Indian stand alone episode is arguably the best episode of either season. "The Riddle of the Sphynx" is probably my favorite episode of either season, just some top notch TV. There were only a few episodes that werent that great to me, but I like the show more than most.

the show changes genres

It's like jumping from the Matrix to Jurassic Park and the characters' motivations change

The writers big F U to their audience in Season 2 really pissed me off. I think I read somewhere on this board that the writers got their feelings hurt that the audience/online community figured out season 1 before the finale so they made season 2 as obtuse as possible. That type of insecurity is astounding.

Having said that, season 3 looks promising.

Yep. It looks like there are quite a few more time frames/worlds that will be in s3, if they get too confusing with that, they are going to lose people quick. You would hope they learned from their mistakes and simplify it a bit. The show didnt drop in quality, i was still a really well made show, they just need to dumb it down. The cinematography is as good as it gets.

I sure as hell didnt figure season 1 out before the ending though

Season 2 was absolute shite outside of the Ripple of the Sphinx episode.

What a steaming pile.

Finale and injun episode were very good. Just the whole damn season. As I've written before, I shouldn't have to go to a punch of podcasts and videos to figure out what I just watched.

Yea the second go around I read about each episode after just to make sure I was getting it right. I mean it makes it a little better when you do

But you're right, you shouldnt have to do that.

I wish HBO would give release dates for this, Watchmen and His Dark Materials. Probably the three shows im looking forward to the most on any station/streaming service.

WW has probably the best production value of any show I've ever seen, but the writing is just absolute dogshit

Did you like season 1?

I completely understand why someone wouldnt like season 2 and im not trying to convince you to change your mind. But there were a number of good episodes. The "Kiksuya" Indian episode was incredibly good. It was one of the episodes that was pretty easy to see how it fit in the overall story, it took a minor portion of the story that you knew was there and gave it a ton of depth. Like you say, production was great, but the acting, cinematography and story were legit. That could have been a good movie in itself.

I think the Samurai episode was top notch too. Regardless of the other episodes, for some of the same reasons as the Indian episode. It was pretty awesome to see the same characters and story being played out in a different world and how the setting was almost a perfect switch over from western to Japanese.

S1 was fine even though we all figured out most of the twists by Episode 2 Maeve's storyline was god awful though

S2's only episodes that had me walk away saying "that was good" are Riddle and the Indian one.

oh come on dude, people were saying William = MIB and Bernard = Arnold from the get-go, that's why the writers got so butthurt and made S2 an unintelligible mess

I know they got butthurt and made it the way it was on purpose, thats not a new thought. But you know its bull shite to say "we all figured it out" like TD really had it figured out by episode two. This board didnt figure out shite by episode two. You're giving yourself and the board too much credit. Some people on here read some theories, just like every other big show, and thats about it.

I really didn't care for the 2nd season either. That being said, the Riddle of the Sphinx episode blew me away. One of my all time favorite episodes of a drama series.
