Yea I figured as much but what I don't get is why. We already have been through her character arc...I'm not sure what else they are trying to have her "discover".
Most likely, they are setting up the audience for a serious subversion. Yes, we have already seen Delores go through an arc of self-discovery and achieve sentience. If I were in charge, I would start the viewer off thinking that we're about to get a somewhat note for note rehash of that only to throw a huge wrench in it about 1/3 of the way through to turn the trope on its head.
In season one, Delores slowly discovers that she is a machine, then discovers that she is a sentient one.
In season three, Delores helps a sentient human discover that his life is programmed like hers was, and he eventually achieves self-actualization and frees himself from his loop (or did he?)
I don't know what they have planned for her in this season, but I would imagine it will first lull the audience into a false sense of security by starting out similarly to these two extremes, and then going for a weird left turn into crazy town to keep folks guessing.
Westworld Season 3 was a collection of unbelievably great ideas unbelievably terribly executed.

Is Westworld worth starting from the beginning and watching through?
Season 1 is possibly the single greatest season of television ever released. The rest is of...significantly diminished quality.
Season 2 is okay, but completely unnecessarily confusing. Basically, the writers were angry that some people figured out the twist at the end of season 1, so they took all the scenes of Season 2 and intentionally scrambled them completely out of order. That way, the audience wouldn't be able to figure out the twist. Only, there really wasn't a twist. The only mystery was what the f&%k was going on and when and only because the whole damn thing was shown in a random order!
Season 3 is...something. Imagine a rock band that plays the kind of rock music you really like. Imagine they have a fantastic singer, great drummer, excellent guitarists, creative bassist, they have the look, the stage presence, and everything else you could hope a rock band to have, but you just don't like them. All of the pieces are there, but you just can't shake that there's something missing. You can't quite put your finger on it, but it...sucks. You don't know why or how, but it sucks. That's season 3 of Westworld. It's a really cool concept, it tells a super compelling and thought-provoking story that's well acted, shot beautifully, etc. Yet, it's just...not good.

I’m not sure how this show got a 4th season considering how terrible Season 3 was and how expensive of a show it must be. With that being said, I enjoyed the first episode of Season 4 and I’ll continue to watch.

I feel like HBO is desperate to find another franchise to bank itself on after Game of Thrones shite the bed. They’re hoping against hope that Westworld can recapture the magic and bring people back to appointment tv status. HBO historically thrived by having a Sunday night prime time lineup of shows people were addicted to. Sex and the City, The Sopranos, Flight of the Conchords, Game of Thrones, etc. They had a steady string of successes that kept legacy customers reuping their subscriptions. They’re worried that if they don’t have a must-see franchise show, that they will lose market share to other streaming services now that they’re competing more with Netflix as a standalone service than as simply a cable add-on.

This is hard to watch. The writers had a first season that was outstanding. Since then they have been sniffing their own farts and trying to out cute themselves and show how clever and smart they can be. It seems to get worse with every episode.

With the majority of season two, yes. Season three wasn't that hard to grasp and it's one episode into season four. The show is meant to mess with you, but the majority of it hasn't been all that confusing outside some of season two. Which was, incredibly and unnecessarily confusing.

Halfway into one.
I thought this world was falling apart because of Rehoboam's destruction

Ep. 1 starts roughly 7 years after the destruction of Rehoboam. The premise seems to be that the world went back into a "lull"...everyone going back to doing their mundane tasks at their jobs.

Just more disjointed writing.

A little more interesting tonight

Ok. Not a bad episode at all. This is where season 3 should've started.

Yea I really enjoyed that episode. The Golden Age should be a pretty cool park.
Host William is a pretty solid golfer.
Charlores has host William working on getting the park built, which the accomplished, but I wonder why Charlores would want another park built. She keeps the real William alive for punishment basically and tells him that humans hunted them for sport so she has a plan for humans. I'm assuming it's the flies and black brain slime. Just curious why she would build another park to have humans, unless this go around its having hosts hunt humans?
Is it a given that Christina is in another park? I get the waking up the same each day, the kids saying "this place is crazy" etc. But what would be the point of that park. There's nothing special about it. I do like the mystery developing in it though. That story got drastically more interesting in just one episode.

It just seems like they are setting up for another story where they are constantly jumping timelines, further trying to "confuse" the viewer. Which I hate more than anything. If your goal is to confuse me while I watch your show, I don't want to watch
Dark was confusing and was one of the best shows I’ve ever seen

Only the elite can afford to visit. They will use their vices against them and replace them w hosts.

Or infect them with flies

True. The ultimate honey trap

The last scene of ep2 was the best so far imo. Finally we back in the park!! Idk about yall but that's where a lot of my favorite shite has happened.
I really loved s1 and s2 even more. Not a popular opinion oh well.

We're back in the park but this makes sense and advances the plot.

They have to get the kinks worked out. They won't be able to infect them with the flies and send them back out in the real world like the senators wife
I am having a brain fart from season 3. Is it possible that Christina could be the actual Delores? Or was her mind ball taken out as well? Just the way Christina wakes up everyday just like Delores in season one has me thinking it's possible.
And it looks like in the preview for an upcoming episode, it looks like Delores drops something, and someone (I'm assuming Teddy) picks it up and hands it to her. Like Teddy would do with the can in season one. "I thought chivalry was dead" scene that replayed.
I don't know. But anything close to season one is a good thing.
