Pleasant surprise for adults. Original gamers obviously like the premise. I'm sure a lot of people like me went into it with their kids on their behalf and winded up liking it. Even has a semi surprise in there, so I give it a thumbs up, not two, definitely not three thumbs up, be surely one.

And if a movie gets you to love a Sarah Silverman character, it's done it's job.

Almost said something similar in my original post. I don't really like her, but she was pretty good in this one.

ETA: I'm surprised it didn't do better at the box office. When I first saw it I thought it would make a KILLING.

Also, let's not forget the animated short before the movie, Paperman. That was pretty awesome too.

If you pause the movie, they show you some of the cooler things you wouldn't notice, like "Aeris Lives!" graffi

It was pretty good, I wish they could have explored other games as well though

"I am bad and that's good, I will never be good and that's not bad, there's no one I would rather be than me."

I love that line.

Do it. I ended up watching the pause video for a good 30 mins.

There are some really cool things that you won't notice. If you watch the credits to the end, it does a shoutout to the killscreen in Pac-man.

I couldn't find a better image, but the numbers in the Wreck-it Ralph kill screen also have significance. There are high score numbers that reference Walt Disney's birthday or the day Disney was created.

They explain all of that during the pause screen videos.

I think that guy was a bigger douche than Billy Mitchell.

As Obi Wan Kenobi would say: "Who is the bigger douche: the douche or the douche that follows him?"

I really liked it. My only complaint is Jane Hunt's character, who is a paper thin, one note character.

Really enjoyed the movie and I'm glad it settled into one game and really created that one universe. There's enough jokes about other games (like Q-Bert being homeless) that I'm glad it didn't become just a series of references.

And John C. Reilly is probably my favorite actor working right now. He can do anything and in any size role. And rarely plays himself. He was perfect in the role, and bunch of pathos to the role of Ralph.

It was good and they left a lot of material for a sequel.

I agree, and I think I said something similar in one of the threads after I saw it. They did enough game jumping and had enough game references that it easily satisfied my nostalgia, all while focusing on the main two games (the candy racing game and Fix-It-Felix).
