Sounds like you hate specific versions of Lois Lane and are combining them into one character.

More like I really don't like the concept of Superman having a human partner and Lois Lane being a really horrible one just seals the deal for me on that.

If it were up to me, I think Superman would do well in relationship with someone who is truly his equal not just mentally but also physically. Like maybe Wonder Woman or a Kyptonian woman.

He needs to be with someone who truly, and I mean truly understands where he's coming from and what his plight is. Lois Lane can't offer that and usually doesn't even bother to try.

Good for the part, but Snyder's Superman was a terrible character.

I'm trying to think of a worse mishire for a specific character, hell entire cinematic project than Snyder and DCEU and I'm drawing a blank?

Same here. It's the only DCEU film that I'll always defend.

the problem with cavill was not his portrayal but how absolutely everything else was in these movies. I think he did an alright job but I think the movies just sucked.

See Alex Ross' Kingdom Come or Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Strikes Again .

I think those two are really the only ones where superdicking the wonder pussy didn't end (too) poorly.

Then you got stuff where all males on Earth die and the Amazons use Superman's donation that he left as a way to halfway keep the human race and raise the absolute worst kids.

Injustice, Red Son, I know I'm leaving out a lot.

I thought Cavill as Superman was very good and MoS was a very good reboot of the Superman story. It gave the character of Clark more depth as the reluctant hero who was influenced by his Middle America upbringing and the lessons and values instilled in him by his father and his mother.

Cavill is a good actor......The other movies make Superman too comic book like whereas MoS has him in an otherwise regular guy. Too me the best scene in the movie was the tornado scene when he could have saved his father but his father, in trying to protect him(Clark Kent), would not let him.

the dark and more "serious" approach

That's the director, not the actor. Cavill was the perfect embodiment of Superman. He has the look and the presence. Snyder forced this dark bullshite, and Cavill just ran with what the painter wanted to put on canvas

He grew on me to the point that I realized he portrayed "The Big Red S" better in some ways that Reeves ever did.

I'm surprised by the backlash. I thought everyone hated MOS, BvS and Justice League so I really wasn't expecting the angst if he was canned.

Heck, I'm one of the few who liked MOS, I saw a good film buried in some crap for BvS and I had zero interest for Justice League. I really couldn't care less if they replaced him. Just didn't like any of his movies enough to make me care.

Thought he was solid but not enough to care about him being replaced.

I liked MOS a lot but the tornado scene was kind of dumb. But I loved how they depicted him growing into his powers and being a regular guy with faults. He had emotions. He got angry and did what anyone would do—like tear up that 18 wheeler. People want the bland boys scout, and that’s fine, but there’s nothing wrong with him growing and maturing into that.

I feel like Lois is his ground to humans like his parents are. He has to move on from his parents so Lois has to be that role. Another Kryptonian would isolate him from humans. Even if they both disguised themselves as humans and work normal jobs, the relationship connection with a human had him thinking differently. He had to save "his" people instead of "those" people.
