The devil in The Exorcist
Cain in Poltergeist
The bear in The Edge
Burke in Aliens
The Oleson family (minus Nells) on Little House on the Prairie
John kreese, Sato, Sato's nephew, Terry Silver, and Mike Barnes are all a bunch of bitches.

Vidal, the general/stepfather in Pan's Labyrinth is one of the first ones that come to mind.

How has nobody mentioned Col Tavington from The Patriot? If I run into that actor in the airport I may actually punch him.

Throughout the trilogy, he is always the antagonist and the respective agent is the protagonist.
No he isn't. He never tries to harm Clarice in any way and actually actively helps her. Buffalo Bill is the villain in Silence of the Lambs, not Lector.

Lucius Malfoy in "The Patriot" is one of the most deplorable characters in the history of film.
Eta: I see he's already been mentioned.

Fine, maybe not Silence of the Lambs, but he certainly tries to hurt Will in Red Dragon. Therefore, he is still an antagonist even if not the main one in the later books/movies.

4. Sauron
Never really saw him as that good of a villain really. Just an evil presence and found him to distant to be a threat to our heroes. This guy though was a great villain, and one of my favorites:
