Are you trying to make a point? Oppenheimer won Best Picture at the 96th Oscars, which means it met the requirements. The Odyssey has to meet the same requirements.

Well, it seems to be a non sequitur in the context for the conversation that you joined.

It's also kind of weird that the only person I can think of who has made a historical epic and cast every person properly was Mel Gibson. Sure, there were plenty of historical inaccuracies in Apocalypto, but that cast and them speaking an indigenous language really made for an engrossing experience

I literally posted the DEI quota for the year Oppenheimer won
That is a non-sequitur for the conversation of DEI Oscar quotas regarding Oppenheimer?
I had previously stated Oppenheimer was 2023, and so was also correcting myself.

This damage control article is going to absolutely nothing to save the film. The controversy is already reaching the national media outlets and more people are already seeing what a clown show of a cast the film is going to have.
This is Nolan’s humiliation ritual and he knows it

That was a different era for movies too

Movie is going to make tons of money, come on man
Less than it could have? Sure
This is why it is being propped up so hard by Variety and the left. So when it cleans up they can say "suck it, anti-wokes"
There will 100% be a thread on here saying something similar, by one of the usuals.

I didn’t realize that you were correcting yourself. You responded to someone saying “there haven’t been any changes since it won”.

I'm sure it'll be successful, but the issues are piling up. Cringey dialogue in a Nolan movie?
I don't care what ethnicity Helen is, but she has to be stunning/striking/magnetic and uh, she's not.

There are several far hotter black actresses available for such a minor role.

she’s ugly as frick
I would definitely, given the opportunity
But she is certainly not notably hot. Just a mid-tier beauty. . Like modern day Charlize Theron, or Michelle Rodriguez

modern day Charlize Theron
Charlize Theron could get her face smashed in and she’d still look hotter than both Zendaya and Lupita Nyong’o combined.
Have you seen her from some of the movies that she did when she was in her 20s? Reindeer Games? Cider House Rules? She was a literal goddess.

Do you just not like black girls? Because she is objectively attractive.
And she prefers white men.
