that's nice but i ask again how does his wife being alive make him a better spy given he let his ENTIRE TEAM get killed and did not know his mentor was not only a mole but set him up as a mole. He also let the NOC list out in the public

Hunt wasn’t in the biz that long at that point. And it wasn’t just his mentor either. Both Jim AND Claire were up to no good. And Krieger was ultimately in on it as well. Hunt had Luther and that was it. And Kittridge was no help because he believed Hunt to be the mole.

All three sucked. The point of an actual spy is not to get noticed. George Smiley and his people were spies. These three were not.
