Anyone else experience this in theaters? To this day the quietest and most stunned crowed I’ve ever walked out with. We all sat in our seats for at least 3-4 minutes then quietly shuffled out, ppl sniffling

maybe this weekend
anyone remember a (TV?)movie (mid oughts?) told from the terrorists' point of view? I saw it but can't recall the title... It ends as a terrorist boards a plane.

I didn't watch it in theaters but I remember how much my heart was pumping during the ending. I remember thinking that strange because you know 100% exactly what is going to happen but you still are extremely caught up and invested in the fight. Does a good job putting you in that place and time.
The walkout of American Sniper of similar to what OP describes as well, whole theater came out extremely slowly and solemn.

The Hamburg Cell is actually a pretty insightful film into the men who planned and orchestrated 9/11. The actors who played Muhammad Atta and Ziad Jarrah were both fantastic in their roles. If you have a couple hours to burn I highly recommend it.
As to United 93, it's a very visceral movie that I try to watch every 9/11. Paul Greengrass crafted the definitive 9/11 movie that had the misfortune of being released so soon after the attacks. Many people thought it was exploitative and refused to see it. However, the movie was made with the full consent of the families of the victims and they were heavily consulted throughout the process.
The film is a moving tribute to their bravery on one of America's darkest days.
