Even though I know the outcome, every time I watch it I hope they succeed and I'm gutted when they don't. God bless all of them. Let's roll!

I have heard that theory before. That they deliberately crashed the plane when they found out where it was going. The desire for self-preservation and/or to save the lives of those you love is a powerful thing. I don't know if I can believe that preventing the plane from reaching its destination was foremost in their minds, but it may have factored into their decision. Regardless, they were heroes and their sacrifice should never be forgotten.

I seem to remember something like this. I caught the end of it on HBO maybe, and I remember being pissed because they showed the terrorists as being tragic figures instead of the pieces of shite they are.

one of those movies (like the original Dunkirk from 1958) w/a title that implies an epic but in fact focuses on a small personal story to save money
& in the case of WTC it allowed them to avoid the political issues

I'm going by 20 yr old memories...
I recall it was not as negative as I would have wished, and it bent over backwards to show "good Muslims" as "balance". From a UK movie you were not going to get more than that, even 20 yrs ago
But it did show the world of the terrorists, a world we would not have been shown otherwise.
It did "humanize" the hijackers -- the part I remember best is the main guy had a pretty hot gf (and I'm not even into Arab chicks)
I still haven't watched United 93. I probably never will.
It angers me just to think about the vile murderers and their taking innocent lives.
But I am enraged when I realize what has been done by the government's pro-Muslim policies since then.

United 93 was American Sniper on steroids as far as the walkout goes from what I remember.

I watched the end of the video you posted earlier in the thread, and I may be thinking about the wrong movie, or I'm remembering this movie incorrectly. I remember watching a movie about the terrorists, and at the end, one of them has an inner monologue about how much he's going to miss his wife/girlfriend or something like that.
I could be completely misremembering though. 9/11 was a fricked up time, and a lot of things are jumbled in my brain regarding it.
