I like it. Has a Jericho vibe to it. I wish they had bigger stars but I liked seeing the Lost alum (Lapidus, the dyke mom who was from Dharma, Kate's mom).

Right, some super intelligent group comes up with a technology advanced enough to create a sphere shaped dome force field, but then realizes that all the bastards had to do was dig out to escape cause they were smart enough to see that one coming.

He's a shitty actor. He's overly dramatic, overly maniacal, he over-delivers virtually every one of his lines. His on screen performance isnt scary, not intimidating, not sociopathic....it's hokey. Whatever sense of horror I guess I'm supposed to feel because of this supposed psychopath, is lost on me as his lines, his expressions, his inflexion, are so.....forced, it's dismissive.

I'm certain the reader fan-boys will come and rush to defend the character and how he's portrayed in the books, but regardless of how it's supposed to be, it doesn't translate to the screen at all. I blame the actor.

But then it's not a dome it's a bubble. Should be called Trapped in a Bubble. The lesbian moms are the only thing I dislike about the show.

Maybe that'll be the season finale reveal? I hope it isn't.

I can't believe that Stephen King allows his work to be rewritten to such a degree.

I hardly recognize this.

I haven't read the book but I'm guessing there isn't 13 hours worth of material in it so they had to stretch the story a bit.

Actually, it's very condensed. Some characters are missing, and some have been combined.

It was almost 1100 pages, so there was plenty of material for 13 episodes.

show has been pretty good for the first few episodes surprisingly enough. I will admit that I went in with nearly no expectations.

1. I would have killed and buried Junior with no issues.

2. Not sure how the commissioner guy was operating that backhoe, but that new backhoe wouldn't have been run like that.

Can't speak for all of the others, but I wouldn't defend an actor on GOT. Especially him...he lacks the intensity to play Ramsey Bolton, and his attempts at psychotic moments are just...silly.

Michael Pitt was my pick for Ramsey. He looks exactly like the character in the book, and has the intensity...not like he was still busy w Boardwalk Empire.

Just finished the second episode. I'm not sure what this is exactly, but it's not the book I read.

I'll keep watching. Reluctantly.

It's got just enough weird to keep me watching. It is a Monday night during the summer so it will probably keep me watching til the end unless it just gets totally stupid. Just realized the main kid played young Sam Winchester on Supernatural. I haven't read the book so I have no clue how it differs so far. Chick cop was on Eureka, that's what I like about these miniseries is picking out people I've seen in other shite. Priest dude is creepy and needs to die. The dude keeping the chick locked up is destined to die soon.

True. The lady who plays Rose was Zelda on Sabrina the Teenage Witch.

What is it with King and DJs. He seems to have a DJ character in most of his books. Why does the smart engineer chick have to be morbidly obese. Her character feels like the fat blonde chick on criminal minds.
