The idiot kidnapping the girl in the shed is an awful plot and is the only thing I dislike about it. Was the story this bad in the book or is it just bad due to the awful acting? I feel like I'm watching season 3 of Jericho.

I don't see them solving who is responsible translating very well over to TV. SK's books have a bad history of that. Usually when you get to that part it seriously comes off the rails.

Ok, so I was interested after the pilot...but after watching these last two episodes I'm almost about to give up. Dialogue is terrible, the actors are equally as bad. I really wanted to like this show. The only characters that are interesting are big jim, Barbie and angie (who still happens to be down in the fricking shelter with junior). Junior is laughably bad. Ill give it one more episode and then Im calling it quits.

Turrible. Just turrible. Way to many changes from the book, most of which were totally unnecessary.
