Here’s where the scientist comes out of me and I get a bit peeved. They collected data from one tornado. What kind of model can they make based on one tornado?
Also, Dr. Harding works at OU and has resources at her disposal. Could they not anticipate the need to anchor the pack and make the sensors more aerodynamic?
Hell, it takes them losing 3 Dorothys before they put together what they have to do to make it work.

I’d assume the scientist inside of you (hehe) would realize that having data from inside the tornado, which had never happened before in history, is better than not having any data at all.
