We have an LG in the living room and a Samsung in the bedroom. I prefer the Samsung, but not in love with either's interface.

Our Samsung has been good for
well over ten years. Good picture.

I had a Samsung LED for a while. I hated it. Picture sucked.

I've had an LG OLED for several months and it is everything I need and the picture has been solid.

That's another thing. Samsung software is abysmal. LG magic remote is kind of silly and annoying.

I’ve had 2 TVs since 2013. Both Vizio. The 10-year old one still works great even though it sits in a garage all day that isn’t temperature controlled for the last 2 years.
Never had any issues at all. I highly recommend them. Sorry you had a bad experience!

I've had 2 Samsung TVs crap out on me and a monitor so I'm done with them. I have a Sony 65' right now that's great so far.

Samsung has tons of models. A lot of them are pure shite. They have some good ones but likely out of price range. They are definitely not on the same tier as Sony or LG.

Not true at all on the upper end the S90 and 95C are as good as anything Sony or LG makes in the range, to differentiate which is best for a use case you really have to dig and may hinge on something like Dolby Vision HDR support.

In OP's price range the Hisense U6 is going to be the best band for the buck.

Samsung TVs are excellent. Don’t ever buy their appliances.

I have 2 Hisense 55in in the kids rooms, a 55in Samsung in the master, and a 75in Sony in the living room.

The Sony is by far and away a better tv. You won’t notice it if all you are watching is a Samsung or other brands, but when you see the different TVs daily, it’s really apparent.

Don’t go cheap on your living room TV. spend the money and get the extra processing power. The living room is where I watch my movies, sports, etc. I want that immersive experience when I sit down and turn it on. Sony’s picture is by far and away better than anything else in my house.

The other rooms, who cares.

Just noticed this deal at Best Buy...

LG OLED

I have a 65 inch TCL OLED that I purchased for half off a couple of years ago and couldn't be happier. But then I'm partial to the Roku OS.

Brand wise, shoot for LG

Samsung and Sony both make excellent TVs with entry level models
