Our Vizio is crapping out after just a couple of years. Started with horizontal lines whenever bright red colors were on screen. That was probably 6-8 months ago. Now it's mostly black across the middle. Sometimes it fixes itself but today it just went black.

What brand does the board suggest? Looking at Costco TV so samsung, sony, LG, etc. would like to keep it in the $500-$650 range and 60"-65"

You should post this on the Tech board.
In that price range a TCL is probably your best bet.
They are made in China but ours has been a good TV going on 7 years.

Agreed. Post in both places. They know tech, and everyone on this board has a home theatre system better than AMC’s IMAX. (It’s our version of the OT trophy wife/50K F150 with truck nuts combo.)

I bought a nice Sony 65" for inside the living room. I bought a Hisense for outside for 1/4 of the pice. I like the picture on them both. Both bought from Costco.

I like the Sony TV better but it's not 4x better. Costco comes with a good warranty and extends a year if you have a costco credit card.

When we switched from tubes to flat screens we went with Samsungs, and they're still going strong for us.

i have had mostly good experiences with hisense.

one of them had a problem with the technology behind the roku (i.e. the computer OS in the tv crapped out) but the picture was fine all the way through. my youngest plays xbox on a 43 inch i bought almost 10 years ago.

Amazon had a bunch of their QLED tvs on sale in that price range on Black Friday week. Probably still similarly priced.

TCL Q750. Sony is the best IMO but it's a much higher price range. Getting a Q750 for father in law tomorrow. I think the 55 is $100 off at Best Buy right now. 65 might be also.

I switched to Sony last year after owning multiple brands in the past. I would probably still be with Panasonic if they were making consumer TVs, but have been more happy with this Sony than the previous LGs and Vizios. While the LGs are pretty, I have had two just stop working, and customer service was a nightmare.

I'd go with an LG at that price range. Nice processor on them right now.

Vizeo is garbage. No offense intended.

None taken. It definitely appears that way.

Appreciate everyone's feed back.

I guess I've just been lucky because I've owned 2 big/nice TVs over the last 8 years, both Vizio, both still working just fine.

Samsung has tons of models. A lot of them are pure shite. They have some good ones but likely out of price range. They are definitely not on the same tier as Sony or LG. Not anymore.

Samsung S90C and QN90C are excellent but 2-3x the budget here.

Following this thread. I want one that doesn’t pop up with a volume control display every time I adjust it.

Samsung for sure

Could luck into a Christmas sale for sure for a 65 incher

They’re the only brand of smart tv I buy.

Easy to setup and never have any issues with them

I'm sure some of them are good. Most brands make real shite models, like Black Friday and $300 Walmart Samsungs and stuff. I've repaired more Samsungs then anything. shite capacitors and boards. Changed backlights now. Vizio recently. Not something I would want to do again though.
