I'm on season one episode one and this is some really bad acting, is it like this the whole series?

it's meant to be a tongue-in-cheek take on a soap opera.

stick with it, it's very good

I couldn't make it past episode one, either. But I'm not a fan of David Lynch in generla.

It is deliberately over the top and campy.

Thanks, i wasn't sure if it was that or if it was just a product of the time it was made it

Don't be like Myth with Babylon 5.....

Just enjoy the ride. It's a great show and the campiness is intended.

I haven't watched the revival, I'm heard generally good things. Will wait for it to be accessible outside of Showtime though.

Revival takes a bit to get going but then it fricking explodes (literally) in episode 8. The thread on here was a great guide for me, finished last week.

OP stick with it. And give me your take on James's singing skillz.

This is way too early to have this thread....you haven't even seen the best of the campiness yet.

It's supposed to be that way. Keep watching it...great series.

Then on season 2, watch the first 8-9 episodes then skip to the last two.

Then watch the movie.

Then watch the Return series from this year.

I've given David Lynch so many tries, I just can't get into it. I know that his material makes me feel weird, and I respect that he can resonate such a response in his audience, I just can't get into any of his stories. They don't really make sense.

Like Mulholland Drive, for example, what the frick happened there? A lot of people seem to love that movie, it's on all sorts of top noir lists; but no one can even say what actually happened.

I guess I just focus too much on the writing as opposed to the art in movies. That's likely on me.

TLDR: I don't like Twin Peaks. Also the acting doesn't change for the first season at least. Expect weird faces and midgets

Well i was trying to decide if i should stick with it, I finished a re-watch of LOST last night, trying to get it in before they took it off Netflix. I was looking for something else to start and I chose Twin Peaks, y'all have convinced me to stick with it.
