i thought it was another hallucination from her arse kicking she received earlier.
But Danvers found her and she was tweaked out... So I'm confused.
But par for the course this season. Guess it would align with the hospital poltergeist scene being in her mind and us seeing it from the outside perspective and not hers. Just terrible cinematography.

The entire first half of episode 5 is about the scientists
Naw. Nope. No. Sorry.
There was 1.5 scenes. where Dr. Who tells her the forensics report and when she tells Navarro it's over.
Speaking about the larger investigation isn't about the scientists, specifically, since the Annie K murder is part of it (why Navarro is part of the detail). Speaking about Clark isn't about the scientists specifically, either, as he's the prime suspect in Annie K's murder, too.

Yeah, I just don't see how they pull all of this together... Too many storylines that dont' make sense to intersect.
Btw, why when Danvers was presented with the evidence that the scientists died in a weather event didn't see immediately say "Well then why the frick was Annie K's tongue in the facility"?

Season 1 was Metallica’s Black Album…it was literally too good. So good that it ruined everything that followed. True Detective Season 1 is the only TV show I’ve ever seen that matched the greatness of The Sopranos.

Rose being a spirit took me way too long to figure out.

But didn’t Navarro tell Prior to get help from Rose to hide the bodies?

Prior, here’s a key. You can come and sleep in a plastic lawn chair in the unheated and uninsulated shed behind my house.

Yes, told him to take the bodies to Rose and tell her to show him where Julia is...

Speaking of...how about when she stops that one overzealous cop from hitting Leah, but that's not enough....she then goes full fight club one on one with him! Any legitimate department she would have easily been fired after the last 3 weeks worth of her horrendous decision making.

I thought after she pushed him off of her, he came back and hit her first
Either way, yes, she would be suspended along with him as Danvers said he was. Funny she knew that he was prior to even telling her that he hit her.

We assume that, but we're not 100% sure... Just every scene with Rose has only included Navarro.
But you'd think when Navarro says that to Prior, if she was dead or didn't exist, Danvers would have questioned "who" or "shes dead"
Of course, like a lot of other things in this show, could just be terrible writing.

My son just binged season 1 and I told him not to bother with the rest.
They will never be able to top season one. The rest are mediocre in comparison and that’s not going to change.

So how will Prior know where to hide the bodies if Rose is a ghost?
Posted on 2/11/24 at 9:34 am to AlxTgr
Not accurate. Prior calls Danvers in episode one and says that Rose called in having found the bodies.

I guess this hasn't been brought up recently, but what spooked all the caribou in the very first scene? same thing that killed the scientists I presume ?

Good call, forgot about that...
Think the Rose reveals is tied to her telling Navarro that Abigano (or whatever it is) isn't her real last name. Its going to be Tuttle.

quote:I’m gonna guess that scene had no real meaning to the story, similar to all the metaphysical stuff, Rust’s dad, the polar bear… The writers were attempting symbolism. This season is just horribly written. I’m betting their will be a twist that will somewhat make up for me wasting my time, but this has not been quality tv/writing
