I didn't see a grave but I'll assume you know there was one and take your word for it. IMHO, the grave or the mexican's intent is not the issue here. What's important here is what Frank believed. Nothing Frank did or said prior to attacking the mexican indicated he thought he was going to die.

I don't remember there being a grave either..
this is the problem I have with a lot of the critiques in these threads
you people don't pay attention

I had a feeling someone would be "watching" his son and waiting on him. What I really hated was the woods scene. Someone is following me, I'm not running into disserted woods to escape, and then get mad I can't get a cell phone signal
He hid behind teh big tree, and killed 2-3 guys that came to him with that approach. Why not keep doing it, why give up, which is what he basically did?
Also, or why not just keep running and hope you can outrun them til you lose them?

I'm sure blow over is a strong way to put it but its typical human nature. After a year or so it all comes out. Most of those involved are dead. Some have left town. I'm sure some will get jail time but I doubt it blows up the way it could.

once he realized they were leaving him out there, he knew he was going to die

what intentions?
that once he realized they were leaving him in the desert he knew that he was dead? or that he was too prideful to let them strip him of everything before he died?

uh...just to make sure?
why wouldn't you ask?

I won't argue with you over that one. At least as it applies to me. But I think I did pay close enough attention to the characters throughout the season to realize Frank doesn't attack the mexican. He just doesn't do it.
Frank lives, Frank plots, Frank gets even. Again the only perspective that matters, regarding how this scene plays out, is Franks.

Wait...there are people that didn't notice the extremely obvious grave there?

that just goes against what he told Velcoro earlier in the episode
dying without his suit in the desert, stripped of everything, Frank didn't "live his life to go out like that"

yes
and missed the Mexicans telling Frank to go lay in it

When did he realize they were leaving him? He asked for a ride. They asked for his suit. Then some crazy stuff happens.

Same people, but in San Diego or San Fran. You are talking about $100s of thousands of Dollars here. Just seems like getting the f out of Dodge ASAP would be the way to go if at all possible.....
As far as why does he need fake passports? He knew there was a good chance these dirty cops would be after them, the dirty cops would be able to track where the real passports went.

You're assuming Frank is giving up. Frank is not giving up. he's asking for a ride to the city.

I assumed that it was pretty obvious that Frank not giving the guy his suit had nothing to do with "not wanting to be stripped" but because the diamonds were in the coat pocket.
Posted on 8/10/15 at 10:28 am to Hester Carries
could it be both?
the intentions for the Mexicans taking his suit was obviously to strip him of his pride
