I'd hate it if they released all episodes at once like House of Cards.

Whoa, you're definitely in the minority here.

You're more than welcome to watch one House of Cards episode per week, but the ability to binge on them is amazing.

Also, King in Yellow is mentioned in Repairer of Reputations ( Marty needed to do just that), Mask (as mentioned earlier).
The King in Yellow was an Avatar, by the way. It was a costume to disguise a true identity.
Marty thought he was a king, but in reality, he was a coward (yellow)...ok, reaching with the last bit, but you see where I'm going.
Last item...the evidence room had no control process. Cops could go in and out of there at will, meth had to be made by Reggie, they had access to the LSD.

You can quote all you want, but using the word DRASTICALLY implies it was rewritten.

The hell? He specifically said if MM wouldn't have taken the role it would have had to be rewritten. It wan't rewritten, because MM signed on.

MM doesn't have "pull" with the story line or how it was written. He loved the shite out of the writing. That's why he signed on.

And he isn't an executive producer, as you stated earlier.

I think that show is more amenable to binge watching. With that said, I've yet to continue after S2E1. Been too consumed with TD.

Just no. Marty is not some super evil mastermind. The little girl didn't "create" the spiral. She wasn't born when the original killings started. Plus I think that is a fricking wizard of oz lollipop she drew. Other cops may be involved like the previous sheriff and his relative that were there for the jail cell suicide.

I don't know that the statement above contradicts this, but I am fairly certain I heard that Matthew was initially approached or was initially interested in the role of Marty. However, after reading through it he asked about the possibility of playing Rust. Anyone have any recollections on that?

It has too be in my mind since characters have described him as a tall man with scars on his face. I don't think the character has been introduced yet.

This doesn't mean there aren't people we have seen already that aren't involved. As much as they made about Ledoux he was dead after a few lines.

She was about 8 when Dora was killed.
Marty isn't a mastermind for random premeditation but he and others can clean up a mess. He kills his prost victims due to his own guilt.
Not a serial killer MO, just to clean up.

I've seen where Pizzolatto has characterized the series as more of a "Thriller" than a "Who done it?," so I'm really not anticipating some earth-shattering big reveal

So he finds out about previous unknown victims with spirals and dreamcatchers that no one else has ever discovered to pin his prostitute victim on?
