Season 1 was consistently good throughout, although I feel the peak was in the middle. But it never was as down at any point as the beginning of season 2 was. With that said, the last episodes have been very, very good and it's setting up to finish strong.

Jesus friggin Christ.. How many times are they gonna change the theme music during the opening credits?
I am finally watching the show. I listened to the opening 3 times. I like the song and like how they change the words each week.

It's hilarious how many of you decided since the opening scene that this season was going to be bad. It seems like a few of you can't turn back from that opinion even though the show has been really good over the back half.
Bruh you so mad that we don't think this season is so good

My thoughts as well

The last 2 episodes haven't been good enough to forgive the mess that was the first 4.
The first season was great because it was focus on two guys and murder. This season has been 4 people who aren't great at what they do stumbling into shite

I'm kind of rewatching the last Ep in my hotel room half assed right now and something did just occur to me..... Is McAdams old partner gonna sell her out? Or is he really just helping her while being a nonfactor? Kind of almost feels like another possible okie doke, but you never can be too sure with this show.

Has this gotten any better or did I make the right decision quitting halfway through episode three?

Back half of episode 4 onward is good stuff.

Well it's just my opinion, but I think you would have liked it had you stayed one more episode. Seems like the camp here is divided though.

At first I was thinking maybe Woodrough recorded the whole stand off with Holloway and sent it to CF and RM. But after rewatching... I don't think he had enough time to send any thing before Burris shot him.
Thoughts?
Thoughts?

Yeah I'm watching that part right now. Unless he recorded it and hit send while he was crawling, there's no way. I was thinking when he pulled his phone out and said he was willing to call Valcorro to set him up, then said he had no reception, that's what he was doing..... It's possible I suppose, but unlikely.
However, in next weeks previews McAdams says something about "let's do this, and get confessions." Then Farrell says "we have enough confessions already?".... So

Nope. The phone was on the ground about a foot away the moment he got shot. It was about a 4 second window between coming out the door and getting shot. No way he unlocks his phone sends a text/recording in that time span.

Yeah it's very doubtful...., but knowing this show, I'm afraid to say "impossible."

Speaking of the orphans of the diamond robbery, anyone think maybe they could b Mayor Chesani's kids?
Dark haired, ethnic looking boy and girl, age appropriate, both fricked up in their own ways.
Maybe Chesani and his late first wife couldn't have kids, he was involved in the murders of their real parents, used his power to adopt the kids, the first wife found out how they got the kids/what happened, so she went nuts and threatened to expose the story, Chesani sent her to Rick Springfield's institute and had her killed.
The daughter - who was interviewed by Ray and Ani at the hookah joint - found out what happened and is slowly taking revenge on all involved.
Aaaaaand, I've probably put more thought into than NP has.

Don't know if the ages are right, but that would be fricking epic and cause one of the biggest meltdowns this board has seen in awhile.

I rewatched episode 3 tonight and thought the same thing. "I live among you well disguised" would make sense...

And because of the mind-frick that was Rust's philosophy.

Also, we have no verification that Caspere's assistant is actually the kid. That could be a distraction, for sure. She could just be a hooker that Caspere has an affinity for, so he got her a regular paying gig nearby. Her disappearing could be because she was also involved with Caspere's blackmail operation. Maybe she has had the tape all along and is trying to pull that trump card.

I want to go back and watch the episode when they interview the Chessani daughter (think it was ep 4). I watched the third one last night and picked up on a couple things:
The Chessani son said what he did for a living was a "party planner" and he had a giant smirk on his face. Nothing we don't know now, just something I didn't pick up on the first time I watched it.
Ray's dad knew Burris and Holloway back in the day. He said they were smart to get out of L.A. and into Vinci, but didn't hint that he would have had anything to do with the jewelry store. He said back then they did real police work, or something like that. Not sure if there's a connection, or if it's just simply showing that his dad is burnt-out and wants to go back to the good ole days.
