Run for it? Running's not a plan. Running's what you do when a plan fails.

Loved this movie. It's like the movie you imagined as a kid watching all the old monster movies and going "if they only did this and this ..." I mean, creatures under the ground popping up and eating people and vehicles, wisecracking semi-heroes, gun toting Reba in her younger days. What's not to love?

This was my movie when I was a kid. I have probably seen it like twenty times at least. Tremors two was a steaming pile though.... I never saw three.

Melvin is the kid's name.
"i know one thing. Chang ain't gonna get his mitts on this for a measly 5 bucks"
I love every scene of this movie. Pure classic.
And the scene where everyone is trying to figure out a "plan" and Walter is trying to come up with a name for the monsters is priceless.

Was this movie ever in theaters? I only remember it on video and TV, but I may be too young to remember.
An little Mindy had the worst childhood ever. Got attacked by Graboids at age 9, only escape and get attacked by Dinosaurs a few years later!

this movie used to scare the hell outta me as a kid.
Me too. Around the time I first saw this movie my bedroom carpet was starting to bow up in spots, so it looked like a worm was crawling underneath. It used to freak me when I would wake up in the middle of the night.

The sequel wasn't all bad in a B movie kind of way.

Yeah, I remember this in the movies. I think it was one of the first movies I saw in the movie theater. I was 11. It scared me at first, but I grew to love it over the years. Still one of my favs.
