excellent movie... possibly one of the greatest.

Lion King was great, but Beauty and the Beast was superior.

Just left the theatre. That was awesome! 9.5/10. My only complaint is seeing it in 3d. It didn't really utilize the technology like it could have. The pixar short, night and day, before the movie was really cool.

Also, I can't wait for megamind.

While I think that the original may be the "greatest" of the 3, it is probably my least favorite of the 3, but thats like saying I prefer crabcakes to a great burger. All 3 are great films and is in serious contention to best trilogy of all time (the only one I can think of that can compare is Lord of the Rings. Other great trilogies almost always have a heavily flawed third film (occasionally second).

My ranking:
1) Toy Story 3- 9.8/10
2) Toy Story 2- 9.5/10
3) Toy Story- 9/10

Return of the Jedi keeps this from being a flawless trilogy. There are a ridiculous number of flaws in that film. The Throne Room was awesome, but the rest of the film isn't really good at all.

Solid 9

Buzz's spanish mode was quite funny and I also thought Ken had some great moments.

Saw it this weekend in 3D. No, there weren't any cheap "in your face" 3D moments but I was pleasantly suprised with the whole 3D experience.

As for the movie, I don't see how this movie isn't getting 10s across the board. The original Toy Story will always be #1 because it's the Snow White of Pixar movies. However, what Toy Story 3 brought to the table was incredible. The story line was brilliant. The emotional side of it had grown ups crying in the theater. I thought this was Pixar's best to date.

Gave it a 9. Previous Toy Story flicks both received 10's. My only peeve with this one was the scene where the toys conceded death in the furnace. IMO that was just out of place in a series of light, upbeat stories.

FWIW--Finding Nemo is the best animated film IMO.

The furnace scene actually had people crying in the theater last weekend. I'm giving this one a 10. Outstanding movie.

That is true........but we got the great "THE CLAW" claim from the aliens! Awesome!

Great movie.......should win best picture! Come on Academy! Dont be stupid and vote some movie about a love story in 1932. Or something stale like that.

You had a problem with the best scene in the film? That was such an amazing scene and it had me tearing up. I, as well as most adults in the theater, was really convinced that they were about to kill the toys. I just thought that the film was too good to pull off a Deus Ex Machina. But then they pulled off the best Deus Ex Machina I can remember with "The Claw".

Such a good scene. Seriously, it was wrenching.

I give it a 9.5/10. I loved it even more than I thought I would.

Watched it yesterday, and loved it. I need to rewatch the first two though, because I am struggling to remember a lot of things from them. I will say, though, that I am nowhere NEAR as high on the Toy Story movies as just about everyone else in the world seems to be. I thought they were great, but nowhere near the top of my list of Pixar rankings.

*******SPOILER ALERT*********

I'll admit. I cried like a baby when Andy was giving away his toys at the end especially when he got to Woody...

Coco, the 1st Toy Story will always have to be #1 for any Pixar movie. As for the the rest of the rankings I don't think Toy Story 2 was nearly as good and that's actually towards the bottom of my list. Wall-E, Up, Nemo and Cars are in my top 5 with Toy Story 3 being my new #1. The emotional roller coaster this movie sent you on, both kids and adults, set it above and made it not just another animated kids movie. I cannot express how much I loved this movie.

i brought my 4 yr old and 2 yr old to see TS3 last night. it definitely wasn't as kid friendly as the other two movies. this one always seemed to have a menacing undertone, especially with the music, and my older daughter would get scared. i think they created the movie more for an older crowd than the original. but they both said they loved the movie, which is all i wanted in the first place.

I would agree with this.

**Side note

During the day/night short to start the movie, did anyone else laugh at the very beginning after "day" woke up and stood and had the waterfall showing inside his outline. I think I might have been the only person in the theater to get the reference and of course I was the only one laughing (or I was the only person in the theater that finds cartoon urination jokes funny )

Saw it last night.....I think most of the theatre laughed when day "relieved" himself in the morning....

Great film. I give it a full 10. Agree with what was already said. Had more adult themes, dark grand finale, and emotional ending. I admit I was teared up and my wife was in a full cry. My 4 yr old little boy loved it! In fact when we got home, he asked to watch TS 1 on DVD.

PS - I think "Spanish Mode" was one of my favorite parts.

Great review. IMO, this was more of a complete movie than any Pixar film though Up was close(Not a knock on Pixar. I think they do great work). It had humor, drama, heroes, villains (Lotso was truly a "Dark" villain), happy moments, sad moments, and a truly emotional ending!

I really think it will get some consideration for Best Picture.
