Still no Mighty Ducks... OP obviously knows the Ducks don’t lose.

Some of these might make the brackets:
Teen Wolf
The Cutting Edge
Ali
Lords of Dogtown
Everybody’s All American
All The Right Moves
Wildcats
Over The Top
Diggstown
Mr Baseball
The Scout
Searching for Bobby Fisher
How about these cheesy classic 80s :
Rad
North shore (surfing)
Oxford Blues (rowing)
Winners Take All (motor cross)
Edit:
Enter The Dragon
My actual top 26:
Field of Dreams
Major League
The Sandlot
For Love of the Game
Bull Durham
Rocky
Raging Bull
Warrior
Tin Cup
Caddyshack
A League Of their Own
Remember the Titans
Brian’s Song
KingPin
Karate Kid
Teen wolf
Hoosiers
Rudy
Money Ball
White Men Can’t Jump
Rounders
The Natural
Over The Top
Days of Thunder
The Color of Money
The Cutting Edge (I had to throw in. When it’s on, I watch it. Flame away)
And if movies are allowed where a sport is a major aspect of the plot but the movie is not specifically about competition of that sport, the Point Break (greatest movie of all time) and Gleaming the Cube would be in

Ok I finally read the actual rules for this thread and realized we need to list our favorites not just randoms that are missing.
I have edited my post on page 1 to reflect my 25 favorites.

If you dont read the whole OP, at least read the bold print. It couldnt be more basic.
MD has already gotten multiple votes, It'll probably end up being a #1 seed bc people are listing it just bc it's not in my favorites.

Another great skateboard movie: Grind. God I loved that movie when I was younger.

I'd argue outside of Baseball, Boxing is the next best sport for movies

Anyone mentioned this? Bogie's last movie:

I've seen as many classics as some and more than most, but I cant think of too many pre 1960's sports movies I've seen.
One of the very first films about the reality of being a pro team athlete. Story by Irwin Shaw.
From the director of Out Of The Past, so it's noirishly moody.
TBH I only saw it once a long time ago, and recall it as mostly soap opera. But it has one great scene, where a veteran player is cut and he pathetically asks to keep his jersey (so he can put it up over the bar in a tavern he wants to buy into) but the equipment manager refuses to give it to him.

If Brian's Song is eligible, then so is this:
LINK ]The United States Steel Hour — "Bang The Drum Slowly" (September 26, 1956)
A dimwitted hillbilly, the third string catcher for a major league baseball club, learns he is dying from an incurable disease, and the star pitcher tries to keep him on the team as long as possible...
A live TV production adapted from the novel by Mark Harris, this is one of the best entries in the sports tearjerker subgenre. Although it's not exactly a comedy, the tone is surprisingly lighthearted for most of the action.
As the pitcher, Paul Newman is on the cusp of stardom and shows the beginnings of his soon-to-be-famous screen persona, rascally charm mixed with impertinence.
The doomed catcher is played by character actor Albert Salmi, who is excellent. And in the small role of the hotshot replacement catcher, George Peppard makes his TV debut.
The theatrical handling, with Newman speaking directly to the camera and weaving in and out of scenes, is very effective.
Worth a watch, and actually a must-see for Newman fans.

Just rewatched Best of Times...
I just don't get why this movie doesn't get more love.
It's an awesome movie.
Robin Williams, Kurt Russell - the theme of you wish you could do over mistakes you made in your youth, high school football, living in dead end jobs and failed marriages and you just want to go back in time and do it all over again.
That's theme is universal.
So I nominate Best of Times...it's a great movie.
Also, if not already added...
as a dark horse...Black Stallion and Wind.

Saw that when I was about 15. My mom loved that movie, she was a big Newman fan. Glad you posted that I have to mention that to her and see if she remembers it much.

Going to need a ruling on these...
Hidalgo
The Black Stallion
Gladiator
Drumline
Running Man
I'd lean no to all but I'm open for discussion.

It's fricking hard to limit to 25
Well you get one more pick, bc Hoop Dreams is ruled out.
It would be top 5 easily for me if I had to rank them, but I say no documentaries just bc it opens up too many movies that are borderline.
