Should we be including shows that aren't over yet? I would nominate shows like Barry, Succession, or Better Call Saul but i dont think they should be included yet. GoT could have won a tourney like this a few years ago if so...

The more votes it gets the higher the seed it will get. Might as well mention your other favorites as well, not just ones I left off.

I wonder if this is an advantage or disadvantage. On one hand you have a show that hasn't ended but has been great up until this point in time but has yet to demonstrate a great closing. Shows that have wrapped up have had a chance to solidify legend status with a great ending but also had the chance to completely blow it ala GOT. It's like having to play in a conference championship and possibly add to your record or possibly blow your season against a quality opponent.

And then what of those shows that never ended like Firefly or Deadwood? Do we evaluate Deadwood based upon the movie as an ending or was that just an enjoyable epilogue that exists outside the show's story and was just a fun opportunity for us to hang out with the characters we love one more time in that wonderful setting, like a reunion show?

Also-Why am I drinking scotch and posting on TD at work? I should go....

Yea thats tuff.

GOT had four of the greatest seasons in TV history, 3 decent and one terrible (depending on how you look at it). Freaks and Geeks had one flawless season but thats it. Odds are Freaks and Geeks couldnt keep a top notch show for 3-4 more seasons. So which one was more impressive? Same for Vikings. I think the 1st four seasons of Vikings were amazing, but by the middle of season 5 I couldnt even watch it anymore it was so bad.

GOT is going to be tuff decision for me regardless of who it goes up against.

Seems like you’re the stupid one who couldn’t actually read the post. The whole point of this thread is for you to nominate your picks.
