Of course, they're too stupid to notice that their rebellion has dwindled to a handful of people on one ship under that leadership.
Uh, you do realize that the rebellion was built and led by a woman right? Amidala started it and Mom Mothma led it through its greatest victories.
It amazes me that you frickers call yourselves Star Wars fans.

Wait, what? Amidala started it? Amidala died giving birth to Luke and Leia. She never started any rebellion and if you've watched the Clone Wars you'll know she was working alongside the Clones for a long time.
The Empire's rise happened at exactly the death of Amidala...there was no need for a rebellion against the Empire if it wasn't the one in power.

You rip other people for not being Star Wars fans yet you don't even know what happens in Star Wars?
Its also MON MOTHMA, not "mom" Mothma.

Rose's character served absolutely no purpose other than to add a minority female to the movie. Her scenes amounted to nothing in terms of plot advancemen
Hint: she's a fricking alien not Asian. There are no asians in a galaxy far far away.

Phone auto correct, dipshit.
Amidala was the first to organize a resistance to the galactic senate (who later became the empire).

The Last Jedi should have just been called:

"Women Getting Shite Done!" - Elle Magazine
quote:
More than any Star Wars film that came before, it's about women getting shite done. Just in time to close the door on this donkey dung year, The Last Jedi scrapes under the gate to deliver what is, next to Wonder Woman, the most female-centric genre blockbuster of the year.
Humble engineer Rose Tico (Kelly Marie Tran) will be called a hero by many, in both the Star Wars universe and in ours.
Against the grasping hubris of Snoke, Luke's prolonged sleepaway camp, the bumbler-playing-badass Hux, and Kylo, with his miserably distorted moral compass, the achievements of these women shine more brightly. (Sound familiar?)
The Last Jedi puts women at the forefront—amazingly, without congratulating itself for doing so—and treats them as equals. How refreshing. In our world, women aren't always given that chance.

Why you reading Elle magazine?
Posted on 12/17/17 at 1:30 pm to StrongBackWeakMind
It was a snippet on one of the RT reviews. And I caught the headline.
I had to jump to it to see how ridiculous the review was.
I doubt OP was reading Vanity Fair.

No. Mothma was in command and orchestrated the whole thing. While I agree, she did not work alone, she was in command after the death of Bail Organa when Alderan was destroyed. She is also considered one of the greatest commanders in the Star Wars Universe.

I'm not threatened by Hollywood making women the heroes in movies.
Keep seeing this term. Do you think people are curling up into a fetal position in their closets?

I'll continue doing man shite.
I'm sure...
Reality sucks sometimes sucks sometimes. Its nice for some people to lose themselves in entertainment for an hour or two every now and then.
A group of people like X
X delivers enjoyment to those people for years
A group of people who don't care at all about X take it over
They try to change X to Z for whatever reason
People are upset and disappointed that X, which has delivered entertainment to them for years, is being changed to Z which is less entertaining
Its that simple. No one is being "threatened" You only use that terminology to inflame people. If you truly don't care about it and you have plenty of cool man shite to do, why are you in every thread about it??

Huh? She never ever organized a military resistance to the Senate. She was forced to resist the trade federation.
You're pretty inaccurate about star wars stuff, not surprising given your responses.

And if you knew anything about star wars you'd know she was in multiple movies... enough for us to care about her character without a feminist agenda. She was a good character through good writing and longevity in the star wars universe... She wasn't introduced just simply to thrust forth female power messages in one movie and then immediately killed off in the same movie. No one cared about the laura dern or rose, they were shoehorned in as a part of a feminist agenda. Leia and Rey as females could have had more screen time and it would have served the female agenda far better.
