It doesn't matter if Poe was right. Poe's way of doing things was the traditional-masculine way of doing things. The new leadership - the empowered feminine leadership - doesn't have to "dress up like boys" and do things as they do.
Of course, they're too stupid to notice that their rebellion has dwindled to a handful of people on one ship under that leadership.
