Which is why I don't understand why you're being shite on and posters are attempting to deny the "franchise holders" intent. Some will like the direction and some won't. But it's obviously there.

They were emboldened by Wonder Woman - now they have to sit back down, as it turns out to be an exception that proves the rule.
Our culture (okay, normal people in our culture), male and female want to see good guy males defeat bad guy males and save female damsels in distress. It's evolution.
If a mainstream film explored the same themes as, say, 50 Shades of Grey, but with gender roles reversed, it would TANK. Why? Ain't nobody got time for that. And I don't deny there are plenty of folks out there who engage in that sort of dynamic, but it wouldn't make it as entertainment - certainly not to the degree those terrible 50 Shades films have.
Deal with THAT.

Can’t they just go with likable characters first? I mean even the haters love Rey. She’s a very likable character that’s done well. But a fat Asian chick saying that rich people are to blame for everything evil? frick you, and it’s especially hypocritical being delivered by a bunch of rich people.

Yeah, but Wonder Woman is a likable character first and foremost and the movie clearly was not sexist against men in general. Rey and Wonder Woman are done right.
