with the exception of Richard harrow, it took a lot for just a little depth, but what a payoff. Lansky telling nucky the story of the gang that kept kicking his arse. "that man's name was Charles Luciano and last year we made more money than the president" Capone with the bullying episode and his deaf child. Jimmy with the second to last episode of season 2
I shouldn't say little depth, big depth but in a lot of those cases just with a handful of scenes.

It is unfortunate when that happens, but I would rather a series end on a high note with some respect than drag out and possibly ruin the whole thing. Not that it would happen in this case, but you know what I mean.

I just don't watch any HBO shows regularly anymore - just not that interesting. True Blood was pretty good the first season or two, but it is not what it was. There are no cool comedies anymore either, like Curb and Entourage.
I just can't get into Boardwalk Empire and, I'm sorry, but outside of some of the fantasy elements of Game of Thrones, I find it awfully boring.

Also, HBO has a pretty solid lineup of Documentaries & Stand-up specials.
