That is supposed to be based on the books, right? Grok is making an assumption about Jon's identity then. None of that is revealed in the books.

By all rights, Arya should have died after the Waif used her abdomen for a pin cushion then dumped her into the open sewer of a canal.

Stannis is poised to defeat the Boltons in the battle after their army falls through the ice so I’m interested to see why he needs to sacrifice her. Too bad we never will.

I did have Grok a few weeks ago give me the location of every major character ranked by importance at the end of ADoS and a brief bio to remind us who they are (been like ten years since I’ve read anything but a stray chapter) to help us out here. In four parts:

Wow. Man I hate AI but damn if that isn't nice.

We/fans/AI don't need to finish it. Just pass it on to Joe Abercrombie and he'd make a better ending than GRRM ever could and could finish both books in a few years. He'd be a perfect fit. Stylistically he wouldn't have to change all that much and you'd get better battle scenes.

Does anybody look down on Robert Jordan because Sanderson finished his work? Hell no. The Wheel of Time wasn't my cup of tea but I have a lot of respect for a guy like Jordan letting someone else finish his epic because he wanted the fans to have a complete story. GRRM is going to bury his work with him.

Maybe some modern fantasy writer will just publish a two book series called A Tune of Cold and Hot and write two books that are basically TWOW and ADOS.

I clearly need to do a re-read. I just completely forgot about that

I'm about to re read them all myself, been years.

I'm on season 2 of my first re watch, forgot how awesome those early seasons are. Political intrigue at an all time high.

Didn't/hasn't happened in the books.

Doesn’t Arya die? In the books? I’d be fine either way, that or she just sails off & is never heard from again.

Also, “Winter” needs to actually mean something.

It lasted 2 weeks in the show (essentially).

Yes. Jon gets the throne. He and the wildlings save everyone else's asses because they know how to live in the cold.

No. She is still at the house of black and white training with the faceless man. She just got her sight restored when the book ended. She is actually a warg in the books as well.

I'm holding out hope, but not expecting it to happen, that Arya actually finishes her training and actually becomes "no one"/a faceless man. Though like in the show, she buried needle for safe keeping instead of getting rid of it like instructed, so Arya is still going to be there deep down.

Another difference is most people think it's Arya that is captured by Ramsay not Sansa. It's actually Sansa's friend Jeyne Poole. Theon is the only person that knows who it actually is.

I almost included him after his meltdowns but my own personal animus towards George overrode that

I’m personally starting to come to the conclusion that there should be no one sitting on the Iron Throne at the end and that the Seven Kingdoms all revert back to being their own kingdoms at the very end of the story.

Nah, don't like that at all. Although I'd be fine getting ANY ending, but that would be way down on my list of things I'd want to happen. Just above Bran becoming king.
