1. Siege Of Firebase Gloria

Love this movie.

R Lee Ermey's character, Sergeant Major Bill Hafner, in this was just as good as Drill Sergeant Hartman in Full Metal Jacket.

Others I haven't seen yet that I thought were good

Paths of Glory and that movie are hard to watch because they're just murder movies.

I would at least give an honorable mention to "The Steel Helmet ", a Korean War movie. I thought that was pretty good

In no particular order:
1. Black Hawk Down
2. Big Red One
3. Kelly’s Heroes
4. Band of Brothers
5. 13 Hours
6. Midway
7. Patton
8. The Great Escape
9. First Blood (does this count?)
10. Dunkirk

Non-Traditional “War” honorable mention
1. Olympus Has Fallen
- Honestly I could put just about all of Antoine Fuqua’s action movies here. Shooter, Tears of the Sun, etc
2. The Patriot
3. Starship Troopers
4. Enemy at the Gates
5. The Hurt Locker

Schindler's List

The fact that it has been mentioned only twice in this thread is unreal. I sat there in the theater for four hours mesmerized. First movie I ever went to alone. Glad I did.

One dark horse movie about Vietnam I rarely see on any list and I'd put in my Top 10 (because other less critical war movies of its type at that time) - "The Boys in Company C" . I see it rarely mentioned (if not all) and get any love on here. It stars the same infamous drill Seargent from "Full Metal Jacket". Maybe because I saw it at such a young age (yes I'm old) and influenced my opinions of future similar type movie viewings over the years. Anyhow...
