I am surprised Dirty Harry didn't get any run on this list. It introduced one of the iconoclastic characters in American cinema, Harry Callahan. Eastwood's performance was spot on as one of the first anti-heroes on film, the noble yet flawed protagonist fighting both the system and the criminals. I've always thought it has suffered because of its sequels, but on it's own merits one of the great urban police dramas.I know it's message wasn't well received by the liberal Hollywood set (especially critics)and that could be some of the reason it never gotten the recognition I always thought it deserved.

Haven't thought of it, but I'm incredibly surprised it didn't make it. Thought it'd be a Top 100 for sure.
