The raptors were better villains than the T-rex.

The raptors were the real villains of Jurassic Park in my opinion. T-Rex was just doing what he knows to do. Those raptors were thinking sadistically...you could see it in their eyes.

And the T-Rex did save their lives at the end of the movie.

One of my favorite scenes.

I loved going to movies in adjacent theaters while JP was playing. If the sound was right, you could hear and even feel the rumble when T-Rex was coming. My wife and i would always know what scene was playing next door by the sound.

Got to disagree on a few here.
quote:

01. Amon Goeth - Schindler's List (1993)

Yes he is a Nazi during WWII. Yes he is a sick bastard. But to me, he is nowhere near the best movie villains because he is a soldier for an even higher power in that movie, a greater evil, Adolf Hitler. Even though you don't see him in the movie, we all know the history of course and know that Goeth is only able to be a villain because of greater villains that have set the path before him.

Also

quote:

06. Anton Chigurh - No Country For Old Men (2007)

Most overrated villain in movie history. Yes I said it.

Yeah i'd say the the Raptors may have been the true villains of the first Jurrassic Park. It's because the Raptors kill someone in the beginning which is why Grant and co. came in the first place.

I have to disagree with you here. He is not just a soldier following orders. He displays his own sadistic tendencies.

Just because he isn't the most powerful doesn't mean he's not the best villain of the bunch. Most of the all time great villains answer to someone, but they usually go to ridiculously sadistic methods to get their way. Amon Goth goes way over te top in making sure the Jews fear him. I mean Vader answered to the Emperor.

This guy strongly disagrees

It's ludicrous to say Hanibal Lecter is not a villian. He's the epitomy of the word villain.

These threads always dissolve into the villain/not villain debate. It gets old.

Dr. Lecter is not the epitome of a villain. He is a fantastic character and a sick frick, but not the definition of a villain.

He kills people by eating out their guts. That's the definition of a sick man and a villain to me.

Buffalo Bill gets the shaft on every villain list because of Lector. But I mean think about it, who would you rather be captured by? Someone who is going to kill you quickly and canabalize you or someone who is going to starve you for months and turn you into a thong for him to wear. I'd take Lector anyday over Buffalo Bill.

For me, Dr. Lecter falls under the definition of a sick and violent person, but were you rooting against him during Silence of the Lambs because that is how I interpreted a movie villain.
