I thought the romance was incredibly forced, but everything else was pretty good.

I agree, but I chakled it up to time compression. Very good "redemption" tale. Avengers should be epic.

Definitely agreed. There was pretty much zero chemistry between the two leads, and I couldn't have cared less about their relationship. Plus he was only there for like 3 days.

The guardian thing made the worst noises that anything could possibly make. That whole fight scene made me cringe.

He really liked it. Already on his DVD "to get" list when it comes out. I also told him about the upcoming Avengers movie and he was all aover that.
He did say he thought he was going to be deaf after the movie because it was so loud (we saw the IMAX 3D showing).

Yeah, the film was loud as hell. I could hear it all the way in the next screening room.
