The show had gone to shite. Getting rid of Rick may free it up to do some more interesting things.

I haven't watched this show in over a year, but I did skip through and watch the end of the episode and preview to come.
So now they are time jumping? That's actually a good idea to change things up.
Any chance Nagen, after all these years, will be fully a changed man and will rise up to be "the good guy" and lead them through these new walkers?

I haven’t read any of this thread, but I loved this episode so much. Andrew Lincoln acted the shite out of wounded Rick. The interactions with Shane, Hershel, and Sasha were all top notch. Wish there could have been a Carl reunion. And the ending with the bridge blowing up made sense. Jadis taking him away in the helicopter was predicted, and of course they weren’t killing Rick Grimes.
But what really got my interest is the time jump and the future episodes. Judith taking after her daddy (biological and adopted) and of course those zombies who appeared to be talking...

Clearly some walkers are reanimating and are able to reason and communicate somehow.
This could get very interesting.
They are also milling around and planning.
Reminds me of the whole Omega Man and I Am Legend scenario where fast evolution takes place among the survivors who have already turned.
