That’s true. I they do mention that he’s a survivor multiple times. Also I think suicide is an option for how they wrap it up. That would be crazy dark though.

I’m sure it will be fine, and these writers are top tier, but with a prequel you don’t have a ton to work with, so anyone expecting it to finish like BB should temper their expectations. JMO

Gene is post BB so they have no restrictions on what they do with him for the most part.

Also, there’s no doubt Saul gets caught. The parallel scene of him entering the high school = bad decision.

Yes but he’s really the only character left to work with since everyone else either died in BCS or BB

So…while cool, the BB flashbacks weren’t story forwarding. Just “oh so Saul found Walt thanks to Mike”. That’s just 2+2=4 stuff that we assumed happened off camera anyway. Only new thing was Mike telling Saul to cut ties with Walt immediately and well, we know what happened. Guess we didn’t see the part when Mike told Saul to get Kim back in the picture…..
“Who’s Lalo?” “Nobody”. Well that’s the end of that I guess.
I’m assuming either Kim had quit the job in Florida and moved on or the Boss told Jimmy to take a hike. Thinking the latter. The identity theft schemes are designed get heat back on Jimmy so he has a solid reason and more $$$ to call for a new filter and get a relocation to Florida.
If it’s just Carol calling the cops and Gene goes to jail/suicide to end it…Kim spin-off for sure to extend the universe for another run.
Edit: Cancer guy ID theft probably the major possibility to have a “new guy call for vacuum filter” and save some money. It is a major upcharge for a second relocation after all. And he called him a second time already and hung up so a third call would probably be hostile or a instant hang up.

The Walt/Jesse/Mike scenes are basically just deleted footage from the intro episode to Saul in BB. It’s not of course but it’s funny how they kept the ski masks on their heads so you couldn’t see Cranston’s full head of hair and whatever Aaron Paul has for a hairstyle now.
