Thought the way Lalo got taken out was kinda lame, but otherwise really good episode.
it was predictable that he was going to die down there...but it was the strategy in how it played out is why it was epic.
lalo playing 5D chess only to be outgunned by gus going 6D. it was a back and forth of oh shite lalo meant to let kim go so gus would know to respond, but gus had already planned for that event.

Kim doesn't necessarily have to die, could just mean her exit from the series if we're exploring possibilities

Going out a door plays into that. But from season 5.... ehhh
Has it ever been said just what part Burnette is playing? I could see her as Kim's elderly mother.

Couldn't help but chime in here.
If Gus wants Kim dead he would also want Saul dead. He heard every bit of info Kim did, only difference is he didn't see the imposter.
It makes zero sense that Gus would order Kim dead, but allow Saul to go free. Especially when he knows Kim is now going to tell him any detail he didn’t know.

Plus she would have never left his house alive if his intention was to kill her.
There is zero reason to vacuum her at this point.

lets keep some humility in these threads.
so without getting further into kim theory, I actually mostly agree with you on this.
and there is 0 chance mike would not revolt against gus at this point if gus ordered a hit on kim. he just lost nacho like less than a month ago maybe. some of his men died guarding gus, and he's (partially) to blame for howard's death and the trauma to kim because that would all be avoided if he held to his word about watching their back. mike would not allow his own failure be the reason gus kills (or tries to kill) kim.

Agree, Gus has no issue with Kim at this point unless she starts coming for him. I don't see that happening.

"Mrs. Goodman" x2
"She's really clever"
Lalo

Lots of parallels between Gus Fring killing Lalo Salamanca and Walter White killing Mike Ehrmantraut.
Gus and Walter killed men who were their physical superiors and much better with weaponry. Gus and Walter were extremely lucky to come out on top. Their brains and not their physical acumen in a gunfight were their best assets.
But hey, it’s believable. Before things crashed for them, Gus and Walter had the luck of the devil. So them disposing of Lalo and Mike is believable within the canon of the BB universe.

He doesn’t have that in BB. So I’m not sure Jimmy ever really truly “becomes” Saul. Like I said, it’s a character, a costume or mask he puts on every day. But he’s still Jimmy underneath.
Yep. “Saul Goodman” is definitely a costume. He did not flush nor did he hide who he really was. One of the first things Saul tells Walter White in that first meeting is “My real name’s McGill.”

Something that I had forgotten about; Howard told his wife if anything bad happens to him it's because of Jimmy. Didn't he also say he wasn't suicidal to her?
I think that will be a non-factor & if it does come up, the story Mike told Jimmy/Kim to use should be enough to defend any blame. His breakdown at HHM was public enough that people will believe that he has a drug problem. During his breakdown, I believe Howard already said to Cliff that "Jimmy did this" and it wasn't believable.

My guess is that Mike will tell Kim that Gus wants her dead to trim a loose end. Mike will advise her to get the hell out of there before it's too late.
I’m in camp Kim gets vacuumed. I think that’s the purpose of the Gene timeline. It’s about Kim and Jimmy reuniting. But I don’t think Mike knows about the vacuum cleaner guy.

If she does get vacuumed, she going to have to use the sandpiper money to get there. It was a pretty expensive thing.

I rewatched the beginning of the 1st episode for this season - when the movers (presumably at the direction of the feds, and after the end of BB) were clearing out Saul's house/mansion. The only item that they show which would belong to a woman is a pair of bikini bottoms that were draped over the faucet in the tub. There were no visible female items anywhere else - both sides of the double vanity had nothing but male prodducts, and there were no female items of clothing in the huge walk in closet. So, whatever happens to Kim, it appears she was not living with Saul during the BB era.

Agreed, but they have both been involved with the vet who has the contact info for vacuum service in his little black book. I think they get the information from him.

I don't know if I think kim will or won't be vacuumed but how would her end gene end up meeting? It'd have to be becuase they've comunicated after BB time and arranged a meetup, becuase there's no way the vacuum guy as meticulous as he is would send 2 people to the same place so close together, especially not when kim is from the area
