And this was already posted with the coverage map of MLB, but this damn moron refused to acknowledge that and just kept ranting his retarded BS.

He really is a detriment to this thread at this point, which is a shame because he clearly has a lot invested in this show.

Damn purdy!!!

I agree with all the analysis that points to Lalo being Dead. But Ham said, "The ONLY reason Saul thinks Lalo is alive is....."

My point is as of now Lalo is alive. Saul knows this. Without any further action Saul would assume he is still alive. Why should we assume Saul would think him dead? Whoever does kill him (Gus) certainly will not broadcast it (for many reasons).

How do logically get from there to "Saul has to think he is dead unless..."?

Ham's logic fails on many points including the KC Royals bag breadcrumb.......

Not even you KNOWS whether Lalo is alive or dead in the BB timeframe.

I don't think it would be believable for Lalo to be alive during Breaking Bad. Even if we throw out Gus's "last of the Salamancas" line, with everything that happened between Walt and the Salamancas, Lalo would have shown up at some point

Also, I don't think the cartel would ever put Tuco back in charge if Lalo's still alive

I don't think Lalo would be the type to go underground for years while Gus steadily increased his position.

I feel that if push truly came to shove, Lalo would try to take out Gus, proof or no proof, and, if successful, take his chances with talking his way out of Eladio's wrath later so we can probably take Gus at his word that Lalo is dead.

Or working at the Omaha Mall Sbarro's next to Cinnabon this whole time.

I'm wracking my brains for a logical way for Saul and Kim to get out of this jam.

Obviously, they will freely tell Lalo everything they know but it would be a little out of character at this point for Lalo to simply turn around and leave them to clean up Howard's brains off the upholstery in peace.

I guess they can deux ex machina a miraculous Mike appearance but that would end Lalo's story a little too abruptly.

Does anybody know what movie Kimmy and Jimmy were watching on the couch when Howard came in? It may mean nothing, but I bet it’s got a little nugget of something in it.

Is this a happily-ever-after for our partners in crime? It sure seems like it, as we cut to Jimmy and Kim sitting contentedly on the couch, drinking wine, and watching Born Yesterday. It's an interesting choice of film, a story about a naive, uncultured woman who makes bad choices because she doesn't know better — until education and experience teach her that attaching yourself to the wrong man can be dangerous. (Also interesting: the pink hoodie that Kim is wearing in this scene, which makes her look not just un-lawyer-like but very, very young.)

Great, great episode.

A few concerns with the Sandpiper plan:

Howard would have pulled Cliff aside and talked with him about his suspicions before blowing up the mediation.

Howard would have retrieved the pics from his office before accusing the mediator.

In AZ, a high profile litigator like Howard is very likely to know a young retired federal judge. Most federal judges retire only when significantly older than the mediator.

The payoff (a quick settlement and embarrassment to Howard) hardly made the plan worth it. I guess it was just the thrill, as noted by their disregard for the actual settlement.

I still don’t think Kim’s motivations have been properly laid out.

Just a few criticisms I guess. Incredible ending.

Has anyone mentioned that Mr. Show regular John Ennis played the part of the fake retired judge?

Famed Trump rally hooligan and Mr. Show regular Jay Johnston played the founder of Mesa Verde too.

Howard made it clear. Kim did it because she enjoyed it. Her repressed bad side came out.

Frankly, she was worse than Jimmy.

Seeing Howard's brains on her couch will likely cause her to rethink her chosen path in life.

may need to if want to get any Gene in

Gus is too confident moving forward in BB. He knows Lalo knows about the lab, he planted a piece there and specifically mentioned the laundromat. Even if he was in a prison, Gus would find a way to kill him.

He doesn't seem to be wearing a piece or body armor in BB (As we see in Box Cutter), not to mention he is alive, in full production, confidently goes to Eladio's, meets with Hector, Bolsa, etc. and Lalo is never seen again.

Gus may set Lalo up to look like a traitor, going against the wishes of the cartel. Eladio himself may kill Lalo in front of Hector, Marco, Lionel and Tuco. And they can't do a damn thing about it lol

Eta

Bolsa may help get rid of Lalo, being in Eladio's ear. He wants him gone anyways, especially if Lalo finds out that he tried to frick his bail up.

Gus is going to kill Lalo in the lab.

It's literally Chekhov's gun. He hid it in the wheels of the bulldozer.

idk. Things were already boiling for howard and once he saw the mediator and he "knew" based on pics that he was bribed by jimmy, I'm sure he was seething with rage internally. He's not going to act in his right mind. Let's also remember if he isn't used to caffeine he was essentially hopped up.

What was the point of the supposed bribe? So that the mediator would make efforts to get an early resolution contrary to the wishes of Howard and Cliff? If so, there’d be no need to bribe him as settling the case is his primary goal regardless. What am I missing?

And you may be right on that. But there is no way they could have been certain or even relatively certain that Howard wouldn’t consult Cliff and/or wouldn’t go back to the desk to get the pics (or already have them in his briefcase).
