Rhea won an emmy for this one.

I’ll read the thread tomorrow, but this show is so fricking good. I know that Saul can’t die on BCS, and that Lalo scene still had me on edge as to what was going to happen the whole time. It’s that good.
And Kim is a boss. She stood up to Lalo knowing (assuming) he is batshit insane AND that Jimmy was full of shite with his story. And she pulled it off. Solid woman to have in your corner, Jimmy.

I want to see a series with lalo and nacho playing DEA or border patrol or detectives in El Paso or something similar

Correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t the BB flashback at the beginning of this season include Saul giving his secretary (who was shredding papers) a card and said, “if you have any legal trouble, call her and tell her Jimmy sent you”?
Who would that be other than Kim?

What world exists where jimmy and Kim are together except for the 2-3 years of breaking bad?
The plain fact of the matter is they are not together in the near future of BB like we know them to be now in BCS. Saul hits on that same secretary in gross-lonely-lawyer type ways. Maybe, just maybe they are still business only type relationship but something drastic in their relationship changes.
Plus you misquoted it. It’s not her, its them/em ‘tell em jimmy sent you’ . Not specifically a ‘her’. If they were still any type of close, Kim should know who his several year secretary was.

Hasn’t Gilligan said he regrets that Francesca line? Might be making this up.

I believe so, and Odenkirk just did a video interview and said (paraphrasing) that they will have to explain it because it doesn't make sense.
Why do they have to explain it? Is it because it's just too far out of character for him, is he still with Kim?
If they do feel the need, how do they explain it? They may show that in the future Saul goes into full character when the suit comes on. Remember when he told her to ask old people about Cracker Barrel? Maybe we see him hire her back and he explains that this sort of shitty behavior is what his new clients like to see.
I just thought it was odd that Odenkirk specifically said this needs an explanation.

Close, but he didn't say her. He said tell them Jimmy sent you.
Everything below is total speculation that has crossed my mind. Don't hold me to them.
I'm wondering if soon we see Jimmy and Howard have a heart to heart and forgive each other. He may be sending her to Howard. It would explain why Howard's still hanging around on the show.
He also gave her a 2nd set of instructions. Be at this payphone on November 12th at 3pm. I was looking for Howard clues, but this stuck out for a different reason. He didn't make this date up on the spot. He already knew it. That date and location is memorized and etched into his brain. Why?
What if it's not Jimmy calling. Maybe Jimmy was supposed to be answering, but now it has to be Francesca. Maybe when Walt's shite went South and sometime after Walt refused to let Saul quit they saw the writing on the wall and he sent Kim first with most of their cash, and he was supposed to answer that phone, but things blew up quicker than expected.
What's in Omaha, where did Gene's diamonds come from, why does Gene carry a Kansas City Royals lunchbox?
Did the disappearer send Kim first with the majority of their stash? Is she close enough that she could have brought him part of the stash in a Royals lunchbox? Why is Gene refusing to leave even though his cover is blown? Maybe they're too hot to live together, but close enough to meet up occasionally.
There's simply not enough info in the Gene timeline to figure it out, but that KC lunchbox means something, I can guarantee you. These are just some random ideas that are rolling around in my head

Man, that was a great episode. Rhea absolutely killed it and deserves an Emmy. Lalo’s character annoys me, but he was great in this episode. He was intense and you could see the danger he brings. Mike and Saul were great as usual, this one was a top 3 BCS episode for sure.

BB gave us conflicting info, but the info that he's dead seems much stronger.
I don't think the info is conflicting at all.
1.) Gus tells Hector the Salamanca name dies with him. This tells us Lalo is dead
2.) Jimmy asks Walt and Jesse if Lalo sent them. This tells us that he thinks Lalo is still alive.
Its would be conflicting if these both came from the same character, but because they came from different characters we can pretty safely assume they just has different knowledge sets.
Gus knows Lalo is dead because he arranged it. Jimmy doesn't know that Lalo is dead because
1.) Though he works on his behalf at times, he is not a close enough associate of Gus to know about things that specific, that far from home operations.
2.) We have no indication that Jimmy has any deep contacts at the cartel or in Mexico at all that would let him know.
To me at least, it's clear that Gus has Lalo killed and Jimmy doesn't know any better. The only hitch is that I think it is something that Mike would know about and would have told Jimmy to ease his nerves.

We also have seen him in the Gene scenes coming home to a lonely crappy apartment all by himself
Not so fast! When he used the vacuum guy at the end of BB to get to where Gene is today, he arranged the same for Kim but because he loved her so much he knew it was too dangerous for her to go with him, so she is elsewhere. This is why they emphasize how lonely he looks at home. He's still fresh from losing the love of his life.

They even laid the groundwork for that in this episode when Jimmy was in Mike's car.
Mike told him that Lalo escaping back to Mexico wasn't the end of the road, Jimmy fished a little for clarification and Mike wouldn't give it to him.
When Lalo dies, Jimmy won't be around and won't know about it so whatever Gus has planned will either take place far from Albuquerque and/or will be made to look like Lalo is on the run and not actually dead.

Agree on Lalo. His character has improved a lot in recent episodes, but looks like this could be his last episode coming up.
Anyone think Tuco will return? Lalo mentions he will be out of jail in six months.

I’m not saying there’s not more meaning, but the Royals’ AAA team has been in Omaha for years. I’d imagine they’re the most popular MLB team in the area and probably sell a lot of Royals’ gear in that mall.

They brought it back up in an episode this season. Why would they have Done that if they weren’t going to address it?

Why would he be doing behavior ‘his clients want to see’, privately in his office with no clients to see it? It needs an explanation because they brought it back up, and theres obviously something huge that happens between/to Kim and jimmy that splits them up, seeing as she isnt anywhere in BB.
Saying thats just jimmy being a Saul character because he’s in a suit is the weakest of ret con explanations. He’s built to be a lonely grubby greed driven lawyer in BB. It makes no sense for J+K=S Hidden secret underground Relationship in BB. Kim wouldn’t let jimmy stick around working with Gus/mike if she thought it was dangerous enough to flee the state and work underground, this doesnt jive with Kim’s character built in BCS.
For your J+K=S theory to hold, they have to retcon and Reverse the development of Both jimmy in BB and Kim in BCS.

My wife, who said BCS is too slow, has been sitting down and watching this season.
Even she was on the edge of her seat for this episode.
Best show on TV right now IMO.

I don't get the whole desire to have Kim being "behind the scenes" in BB
If BCS ends with her and Saul together, it would make it ridiculous for her to not ever be seen or even referenced in BB
What happens to Kim? has become the major story line of BCS, and her just ending up being behind the scenes would be about the lamest answer possible

Agreed. They’d have to scrap nearly all character development of jimmy and Kim to do some dumb trope just to explain ISZA acronym in BB, or a dollar bill underneath keys in BCS. Those cant just be Easter eggs to make fanboys go ooohhh ahhh, they clearly must point to J+K=S plot be damned
Ham and others are letting shiny objects distract from the obvious. Saul is a lonely greedy man in BB, Kim never slightly referenced in BB.
But yea, jimmy and Kim are actually living happily ever after...just like Walt and his family, and Jesse and his family....oh wait everyone around those people died or had their lives ruined.

Did you watch the last episode? She quit her swanky job and grabbed the cork. She went on a rant about shell companies and how to hide money.
I'm not being distracted by shiny objects, I'm paying attention to what the show is telling me.

That Royals lunchbox has been shown in every Gene scene except for 1 time I believe. It's working on an Emmy for supporting cast at this point.
Kim has worn that Royals shirt she sleeps in 4 or 5 times now. This is not a coincidence.
