Since 2005 we've had three Batmans (Batmen?), three Supermans, three Jokers, and three Lex Luthors. And this isn't including TV shows.
It all feels so haphazard, especially compared to Marvel up to Avengers Endgame.

Improve the characters and people will enjoy them regardless of male or female. Hollywood is ruining female heroes by doing stupid shite like they did in Avengers Endgame when they, for no purpose towards the plot, have all the females gather at one time and make a point that they are women and they won’t be stopped.
Captain Marvel was one of my favorite marvel movies, but they never followed it up with anything good.

Has any of these films, where they know it is bad going in, so they go out and preemptively attack the fans, play the victim card, etc., ever (and I mean ever) turned out to be a pleasant surprise/minor (or greater) hit?

Rumored they have tested 3 endings with 8 focus groups.
She knows the movie is going to be a disaster so she is trying to blame the fan base before the fricking movie is even released.
This is SUPERGIRL.
She can't blame misogynistic mean internet troll men because this wasn't a gender swap. SUPERGIRL.
She knows this is a shite movie and she thinks she is deflecting the reason it is going to suck to mean old white men instead of a shitty script but all she is doing is guaranteeing even fewer people see it opening weekend.
