I remember how AoTC was looked at as an improvement over TPM when it first came out. There are things I do like about AoTC, but it's the prequel I have the least desire to re-watch.

This is the correct order.

Empire Strikes Back
Star Wars
Return of the Jedi
Rogue One
Solo
Rise of Skywalker
Revenge of the Sith
The Phantom Menace
The Force Awakens
The Last Jedi

And I'm still waiting for Spaceballs 2: The Search for More Money.

I watched every Star Wars trilogy film over the past two weeks before I watched RoS. The first two films of the prequel trilogy were really awful. I didn’t realize how much I had shut them out of my memory until I rewatched them. RotS was much better but I still struggle with Hayden Christensen as Anakin/Vader. He just wasn’t a convincing actor although Lucas’s screenwriting probably had more to do with that than Hayden’s acting prowess.

My rankings of just the 9 episodes:

Return of the Jedi
The Empire Strikes Back
A New Hope
Rise of Skywalker
The Force Awakens
Revenge of the Sith
The Last Jedi
Phantom Menace
Attack of the Clones

I know most people think TLJ was unmitigated trash and I tend to agree. But the prequels were just terrible. Jar Jar Binks is an irredeemable mistake of a character. I struggled to rewatch them.

Empire not being unanimous for the top spot and AotC not being unanimous for the bottom completely invalidate this poll.
I put Star Wars (ep 4) first, Empire 2nd.
ESB might be the more technically sound and better acted movie, but it can't top the original... for me. That's because I saw the original in 77 in the theater, and nothing yet has topped the utter rapture I experienced that day.

I put TLJ last. I actually put AOTC somewhere in the middle tier, as I really enjoyed the Clone army assault on Geonosis, I thought the Kamino and Clone storyline was a good addition to the universe, and I liked some of the visuals at the end (watching the ships assembled on Coruscant, etc).

I put Solo pretty low, because although it was ok, it wasn't SW.

I almost got the same as the results. My order:

1. Empire Strikes Back
2. A New Hope
3. Return of the Jedi
4. Rogue One
5. Revenge of the Sith
6. Rise of Skywalker
7. The Force Awakens
8. Solo
9. Phantom Menace
10. The Last Jedi
11. Attack of the Clones

Only places where I was different than results was flip-flopping Rise of Skywalker + The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi and Attack of the Clones.

1. Empire
2. New Hope
3. ROTS
4. Jedi
5. TFA
6. RoS
7. PM
8. TLJ
9. AotC

I haven’t seen solo and if I had to put r1 in there I would put it between PM and TLJ
